Getting this to last game is virtually miracle.

Home game to prep side for cl final.

But we cannot control games and are too negative doing it as we just go back and back til we are suddenly pinned on our box.

Pass forward. Beat a man in good area. Keep winning throws and frees and corners. Our.cms and forwards seem to shut down and pass backwards and then we are being pressed on and can't cope against terribly poor sides.

Still.... 19-1-0 v the bottom half teams. Mourinho would say that's how you win titles

We had a proper make shift team out, can’t criticise them for dropping back. Saints had nothing to lose in last 10 minutes. Team did well restricting them to nothing

It doesn't matter what team we play we seem to do the same thing and invite the pressure. It's a consistent theme with the dicking back and forth never attacking and then ending up wondering why the cbs are in our pen area having to play to alisson to hoof it and see the pressure build.

Not really.

Dribbling is fine but if you hog it and choose the wrong option almost all the time it's no good is it?

By contrast Elliott passed well, chose the right options but hadn't the same ability to get a run on anyone.

Roll on Sunday at 3pm

He does hold onto ball at times but at least he’s looking to be positive when he does that. Hendo today just stood on the ball for about 10 seconds a number of times.

I like Jones is always looking to do something with it. When he holds onto the ball he at least drags players to him. Yes he needs to sometimes move it on quicker but hasn’t played much so can be happy with the performance.

Generwlly why he’s better against better teams where he doesn’t have that much time a she’s forced to move it on quicker. Against teams that sit back he has time on the ball and generwlly that’s why he holds onto it a bit more

Don’t see it. Given we have second best defence in prem can’t really be a huge issue

"Some mentality, Takumi Minamino: top Liverpool scorer in Carabao Cup, doesn’t play in final. Top scorer in FA Cup, doesn’t make the bench. Swallows his disappointment and pops up with a goal and night’s work like this."

Dominic King of the Daily Fail on Twitter, makes a good point though.
Definition of a perfect squad player. If he's happy with his role he could be a real cult hero.

As I said earlier, think he's our fourth top scorer this season behind Salah, Jota and Mane

Spread the goals around a lot. Used to be that none of our midfielders would ever score. Nice to see them chip in with a few as well as the defenders

Big D's role is up for grabs next season.
