Skysports.com understands Lee Clark is the clear front-runner for the managerial vacancy at Leicester City.

The Huddersfield Town tactician has previously stated his loyalty to the League One outfit having guided them to a 40-match unbeaten run.

However, it now looks as though the lure of Championship football and arguably the healthiest transfer chest outside of the top flight could tempt him away.

Leicester have been linked with numerous managers since parting company with Sven Goran Eriksson but it is Clark who is reportedly at the top of their wishlist.

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson is another possible alternative should Clark reject their overtures.
 
Well with the rumours in the papers about Keegan coming in as director of football and Clark manager it looks like that is what the owners want

Everytime there has been a director of football it has always caused friction but saying that it seemed to work for us when Micky Adams and Dave Bassett was here
 
Well all over twitter it looks like Lee Clark has basically told the local media in Huddersfield that he is off
 
Some idiot on BBC Radio Leicester said get Martin Allen back. Why not get Gary Megson as director of football and Megson manager. So people are idiots

I wouldnt mind Dickov and Taggart coming in with a director of football

Why would he stay at Huddersfield when we've got ambition like us.

Happy we havn't just gone for a big name and we've gone for a motivator type manager.

Lets see how it goes, we could do with taking Alex Smithies off them as well. Future England number 1 there, he'll be worth a few bob in a few years.

Dont need him. He isnt as good as Schmeichel and Kasper is young and hopefully will be here for a long time so why would we need another young keeper

I know we don't need him, but he will be worth a lot in a few years.

Hell, I reckon Arsenal will be in for him soon with a crazy 5/6m offer.
 
That interview really is interesting by the way.
