I fear someone is going to injure themselves one day doing that.

Pulling a shirt or arms wrapped around another player, anywhere on the field of play, is a foul but not apparently when its in the penalty areas.? Strange that one.:emoticon-0138-think

That was a perfectly good challenge my friend... Something Leeds Utd had done all season.

Definitely a good challenge then and what a beauty. Don't know what the refs would make of it now though.

My 6 year old grandson plays football on a Saturday morning and had started copying premier league players. If he and another player come together, he goes down like a sack of spuds holding his leg/ankle - it's embarrassing. I've tried to explain to him that by doing that he shows the opposition how soft he is and that if he's injured to get straight back up to show that they can't hurt him. Hopefully he gets the message but as he watches a lot of the premier league with his dad, I don't hold out much hope. That league and it's players have a lot to answer for

AND another thing that gets my back up! When did they change the rules that the ball shouldn't be in the small D when a corner is being taken? There might as well not paint it in as no one bloody uses it. Even if the rule now states that the ball should be touching the white line, how many times does the ball actually do that????

    Rant over
