Today Nigel is being linked with a return. I don't think he would leave Hull but it the same time I think he would be up for coming back. He didn't get on with Lee Hoos who has left and so has Milan I would rather Nigel then Jones, Dowie, Clark, Keegan He was the best manager we had since O'Neill so I think he is worth considering but would Hull let him go http://www.thisisleicestershire.co....icester-City/story-13697945-detail/story.html
I hope our board would refuse you permission to talk to him. Your mistake was letting us talk to him in the first place. Of course if he did go back to you he'd be taking Fryatt and Hobbs with him: then you'd all be saying they were quality players!
Rather Fryatt than Vassell. Hobbs would be our 5th choice CB though. Behind Mills, Bamba, Tunchev + St Ledger.
Fryatt is miles better then Vassell but isn't as good as Nugent or Beckford With Hobbs it depends on which one you get. The one what was player of he season or the one that was making mistakes at the back on a constant basis. But we dont need a centre half anyway as Mills and Bamba are solid
I doubt this one. Nigel is a man of loyalty and principle and I don't think he will leave a club unless he feels he must and he's happy and doing well at Hull. So, although I'd like him back, it seems unlikely.
Lol , why would Nigel Pearson want to go backwards and manage a small club like LcFc ? You lot claimed you was all glad to see the back of him.
Not all of us, he was and still is a good manager, still learning but solid, good tactically and knows how to build a team with limited funds.
I can't remember anyone being glad to see him go. It made no sense whatsoever to me. Nor to Pearson, who looked shock to suddenly find himself at Hull. But why I think he was gutted to be pushed out, I'm sure he wouldn't come back after how he was treated, even though it's technically a different set up now.
Maybe it was just that Andy Kings crown jewels posting all over the HcFc board how glad he was to see the back of NP and how superior sven was . . Would be surprised if LcFc go for Huddersfield towns manager. Reminds me of when we brought in Phil Parkinson who was suppose to be the best manager in league one. Don't know who I would want IF I was a fox. Mark Hughes maybe.
Well lets put it this way. I wouldn't want Pearson but I would love Clark. You wouldn't want to lose Pearson either. Would rather we keep Sven than Pearson if i'm honest. As a side note, you seem rather obsessed with me. Why is it that every post on here is related to me? Have I even spoke to you before?
AKCJs isnt allowed on your boards so why do the Hull fans keep coming on here bringing him up wanting a reaction
I certainly wasn't happy to see him go. But I was chuffed with Sven and he saved our season last year. Things have not worked for him as well as they should have this year and I am sad to see him leave as I still think he's a great man who maybe should have been offered the 'director of football' job that Keegan is about to be offered. Also, its hardly going backwards is it? The only thing you have over us at the moment is a few points in the league that will be won back on the 3rd of December. We're a bigger club, bigger funds, better stadium, better squad, bigger fan base, better training facilities and we'll soon have a better manager
Interesting to hear Pearson didn't rule himself out. But he doesn't seem to have been seriously considered by us.
Yeah im surprised Nigel didnt kill the rumours there and then. I think he would be interested to see what sort of backing he would get. Remember part of the reason he quit was because the new owners was being shown around the club without his knowledge
I saw a situation outside a pub in Nottingham last night that just reminded me of the Pearson situation. This couple were all loved up one minute, then something happen - not sure what - and the guy went all cold on the girl. She wanted him to go home, but her was refusing. She then turned around to him after several puzzled expressions and said: "If you don't come with me, I'm going to sleep with this guy"... and just grabbed some random guy who just happened to be nearby. Her boyfriend said: "off you go then". So off she went with this guy that she really didn't want - her bluff well and truly called. But you knew that if, at any time, her boyfriend had called her back, she would have come running. And I bet even today, this situation hasn't changed.
Depends whether this new random bloke had a ten inch tally whacker and generally treated her better . She wouldn't go running back then eh ?
