harris was a threat for most of the game and ibe didnt really get much of the ball but what a goal really pleased for him just pissed off that liverpool and man u scouts were there to see it ,he aint gonna be round here for long
I read somewhere that Ibe just had a trial at melwood this last week. Looks like could be on his way soon. It will be sad from a wycombe fan perspective but great for both Ibe and liverpool.
why would it be great for ibe to rot away in the liverpool reserves, with people being told he is the "next big thing". how often have we seen this? he needs to stay at wycombe and play regular 1st team football for his own sake
I don't think its about him rotting in the reserves at Liverpool, they want him to join their youth academy and develop him themselves. I agree that it would be best for him to play 1st team football with us for a while longer and hopefully he will for the rest of this season. But unfortunately with the way football is now, we need to cash in on him before the EPPP comes in and we get pennies. Also, having watched the Football League show I see Claridge is continuing his issues with us by saying it was right that Ibe got booked for hugging his mum!!
claridge is an embarressment to football and he clearly hates wycombe with his stupid quotes over the last few seasons.as for ibe maybe the best thing would be liverpool to buy him and loan him back to us for a few seasons to get first team experience.i obviously want ibe to stay at wycombe but we all know thats not going to happen,and we will end up getting peanuts for him.my message to the premiership would be for nicking our youngsters for nothing.
This was the first league game that I have seen this season. I thought we played quite well but they made their quality count when they needed to. We do well until we get to the last third and then we struggle. As for the ref I think he generally had a good game but a little inconsistant. See my post on Shefiled Wingeday for things I think he did do well. If we can improve in the final third we will start climbing the table again.
