My lad says Twitter is full of Cambell being our next manager. I'd take Warburton back in a heartbeat over that clown.
I'm not saying he has any credentials for being a decent manager but other than trying to put Macclesfield out of business over his unpaid wages and being a working class Tory (both unforgivable IMO) what else has Campbell done to merit all the vitriol on here?
Nothing personal, this - His last managerial job at Southend United came to an end in June 2020, having failed to save them from relegation to League Two. The 47-year-old’s only other managerial stint was at Macclesfield Town, who he did manage to help avoid the drop, having taken charge when they were bottom of the fourth tier.
Jesus surely we can do better than him, but as someone just interviewing candidates & go from there, I would’ve thought as they got rid of Warbs they would’ve had someone lined up near enough straight away, but what do we know!
They’ve got to listen to the fans as well, no prices on season tickets yet & if they employ Campbell I reckon they will be down at least 50% down on this season
Is the only reason he's being mentioned is because he's mates with Les? Wonder if Dani Behr is still friendly with him, if so why isn't she in the running?
I think, by law, certain ethnic backgrounds have to have an interview, or something like that anyway. Dim Sherwood will also fall into that category, being from the far off land of thick bastards. On a more serious note, we do seem to have not been very prepared for replacing Warbles. There are many names mentioned on the bookies list that Warburton would be more appealing than. 2 mentioned above. This is just the odds from the bookies though and hopefully we are going to show some ambition.
The only good thing I can get out of this is he hasn’t lasted more than a year with any club, he won’t last long
I’d even take Paul Hart, Gary Megson, Allan Mullery ahead of Campbell. I’d take anyone ahead of him, with the possible exception of Steve Claridge the foot faced twat.
With some of the names being mentioned, I'm starting to hope we go manager-less. If Sol Campbell gets the nod and starts losing from day one, l will be nicknaming him, Ah. Sherwoods credentials speak for themselves and should be enough to stop him getting any kind of job in football.
Wonder what odds you’d get on Donald Trump. I actually think I would prefer Trump over Campbell or Sherwood.
Putting all my fears into it just being Rooney rule. We have to interview someone of an ethnic minority background. Campbell is him.. Just to say we done it
sounds worse than not interviewing someone from an ethnic background gotta keep some sort of quota up
