Not Venables - every club he's been in charge of finds themselves gazing into the financial abyss, which somehow hasn't been regurgitated to us ad nauseum like the belief that 'Arry causes similar problems.

As for a replacement, the pieces seem to be falling into place for Ancelotti to take over (even if we can't match the finances Parma, Juve, Milan or Chelsea gave him), whilst I'm 50/50 about Moyes - on one hand he could do a great job, but on the other I get the feeling him leaving Everton will finish the club off and I don't want to see that happen, not least because they're the club from Liverpool that sane and even-minded people support...

    From The Guardian

A second London derby in a week for Queens Park Rangers sees them travel to White Hart Lane, where all those involved with the club will attempt for a few hours at least to forget about the furore caused by John Terry's alleged racist comments towards the defender Anton Ferdinand. The controversy has rather overshadowed the achievement of Neil Warnock's side in beating Chelsea last Sunday for the first time in 16 years, but in Tottenham they face a team that has dropped only two points in their last six league games. Why do we never play on Saturdays? It infuriates me.

Isn't it a sign of failure for your club to play on Saturdays at 3pm in this day and age? I don't think MUPLC have had a single 3pm kick-off all season...apart from maybe on Sundays.

Isn't our first 3pm home kick-off in December?

Technically it was against Everton, although wasn't the Wolves game a 3pm kick-off?

Massive boost for us today, and for Thursday as Bassong can probably play in Russia now.

    The return of the KING!

Brad Friedel; Kyle Walker; Younes Kaboul; Ledley King; Benoit Assou-Ekotto; Aaron Lennon; Scott Parker; Luka Modric; Gareth Bale; Rafa Van der Vaart; Emmanuel Adebayor Subs: Roman Pavlyuchenko; William Gallas; Jermaine Defoe; Sebastien Bassong; Carlo Cudicini; Jake Livermore; Sandro

I'll go for us winning 2-0 on the strength of that 18

    Looks like Ledley is playing.

    BREAKING SPURS-QPR TEAM NEWS
Ledley King returns to the Spurs defence, and Rafael van der Vaart is again preferred to Jermain Defoe, with Emmanuel Adebayor on his own up front. Former Tottenham midfielder Adel Taarabt faces his former club, and Anton Ferdinand starts.

We should already be at least 3-0 up.

I hope we don't rue all these missed chances.
