Police forces are not “the thought police” and should focus on dealing with actual offences and keeping the public safe, the new HM chief inspector of constabulary has said. Andy Cooke, who took over last month, said chief constables should avoid “politics with a small ‘p'” and remember there is a clear distinction between what is and is not a crime. “We’re not the thought police, we follow legislation and we follow the law, simple as that,” he told The Times. Those thoughts, unless they become actions, aren’t an offence. The law is quite clear in relation to what is an offence and what isn’t an offence https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/ukne...pc=U531&cvid=1ba1bf49c2b84459821f380e54af2e7c

It looks like Patel's having to do Khan's job for him. The home secretary is permanently lifting restrictions placed on police in the use of stop and search powers. Priti Patel announced the changes in a letter to police forces on Monday, under Section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act, saying they are part of the government's strategy to tackle violent crime. The law gives police officers the right to search people without reasonable grounds when serious violence is expected. The changes extend the length of time the powers can be in force from 15 hours to 24 hours, and they can be extended to 48 hours instead of the previous 39 hours. They also mean that the use of the powers can be authorised by an inspectors rather than the previous senior office, while a superintendent can no extend the length of time the powers are in force. Officers authorising the powers now only need to anticipate that serious violence "may" occur, whereas previously they had to anticipate that this level of violence "will" occur, and they no longer have to inform communities in advance. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/ukne...pc=U531&cvid=86c40d57b22d483d8bfd2f7820b3f8b2
The thick ****ers just keep tying themselves up in knots with their labels and virtue signalling. Cambridge College sparks row over proposed 'women's-only gym' If approved, the facilities would be 'equally open to trans-women, non-binary people as well as cis-women'. Female students even appeared to call out the plans by pointing out the fury that would be had if men were suggesting having a male-only space. One commenter wrote online: 'As a woman who believes in equality, if men were proposing that women should be enclosed in a separate gym so they can't be seen I would be furious. 'Now, we are asking to be discriminated? Doesn't make sense to me...' https://www.msn.com/en-gb/lifestyle...pc=U531&cvid=1ba1bf49c2b84459821f380e54af2e7c
The standing up to the USA and resisting the relentless march of global capitalism for decades part is quite good though. Pros and cons, as they say.
Yeah standing up to Capitalism by murdering and starving millions of their own people wherever Communism was used by dictators. You are funny
