As a follower of Man City a trip to their new stadium would be nice, Man City will have bigger fish to fry what with their Champions League involvement, and staying at the top of the Premier League,,,,,,,,,,a chance for CCFCRemote to see his team, and a slight chance of pinching a result..........and I can meet my old mate in the Beehive on Broughton Bridge in Salford............he has owed me £20 for about 30 years
Surely Man city currently have 2 'top 6 Prem' teams. Might be lacking in motivation but certainly not quality. Arsenal at the CCS would present the best 'bumper gate/chance of progressing' combo imo. Wenger plays plenty of kids pretty much to the final.
Who do I want. Lets think - Liverpool - nah I may drive and I want my car to be there when I get back. Man City - nope. I cant stand that copycat Poznan rubbish. Man U - like Liverpool there will be loads of their plastic fans wanting tickets. So Chelsea or Arsenal at home.
We beat Arsenal. Then the scousers. Man City in the final. Joe Hart joins in the Poznan allowing us to score 6 or 7 and the cups ours.
Proph why do i get a feeling you get Man city...by the way i was in The Beehive tenerife last week the owner was a manc
Thanks for that Rhondda. As it happens I will be in Cov on 22nd for my daughter's graduation. Now how do I tell her and my wife that to celebrate we are going to watch the Bluebirds at the 3 Point Arena. I sense some time in the doghouse just around the corner. I have already declined a weding invite on 17th December as we are home to Boro. I had better start some internal decoration on said doghouse.
The Beehive used to be in Lower Broughton, on Broughton Bridge, but that was 30 odd years ago, it might well be gone now.......the landlord at the time was a guy called Tony, if I remember rightly and he seemed to spend half his life at Maine Rd and the other half in Spain........I wonder if it is the same guy, mind you he would probably be in his 70's now
Dunno mate the place was all Man c memorabillia didnt catch who owned it but the whole family have been there for about 5 years
Palace or Blackburn at home would be nice, get through to the semis and then do Newcastle over 2 legs, then smash Man City in the final 7-5 ! What? I can dream can't I....
Blackburn were winning 2-3 at Carrow Road today in the division above you but were robbed with a pen that never was, so it'll be tough for you guys. Winnable, yes. But the difference in standard between the divisions is staggering. No offence.
Would that be the same difference in standard between a prem side and League 2 Shrewsbury?...No offence.
