If Everton push for an equaliser we know how good Brentford are on the break.

I still think Everton will be fine, because for one thing I'm not sure Leeds will beat Brentford. Let alone the other results which would need to go against Everton. But hey, until they get over the safety line, it's nice to enjoy it.

Really questionable tactics from Frank prior to conceding that third. Brentford barely have any defenders left on the pitch, so now that Everton have been forced into trying to attack Brentford immediately look vulnerable. So why not try that earlier? It was always asking a lot to just sit on a 2-1 lead and play the entire second half like it was the 88th minute.

And now they've missed their chance, because Brentford bring on a defender.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. If Everton would have started really going for it when down to 10 men and then got opened up everyone would not doubt label Lampard as clueless.

But there's a massive difference between "going for out" and camping out in your penalty box for 45 minutes.

Iwobi and Gordan were both trying to play RB.

If you offered me draws for Everton and Burnley in midweek, I would take that.

Everton losing and Burnley winning would be the dream. But two draws would still mean that Everton are in huge trouble.

Leeds have to win on the last day for any chance of Everton going down .

Therefore it makes pretty much no difference if Everton lose or draw in midweek .

Not if Burnley beat Villa. They have 2 games left like Everton. So Everton's midweek game does very much matter.

    In terms of Leeds, yeah.

But a point in midweek for Everton still impacts Burnley. Two draws would allow Burnley to catch Everton. But if Everton draw, Burnley would need to win - and even that might not be enough.

Hmm yes I see what you mean!

    Fair dos!

I don’t miss being part of the relegation scrap at all. Still firmly on Team Relegate Everton , but think it will be Leeds

I see that Burnley kick off 15 mins after Everton on Thursday.

As it turns out, it probably won't influence how Burnley play. If they are drawing Villa, that will still be of massive use to them vs Leeds - so even if they find out with 15 mins to play that Everton have won (meaning that Burnley would need to find a winner to stay in touch), I suspect they would remain content to take the draw.

    From dictionary.com
"Bumbaclot is Jamaican slang equivalent to “douchebag” or “motherfucker,” often used as an interjection to express disgust or dismay. It's also spelled bumboclaat or bomboclaat, among other spellings. It's an insulting vulgarity that literally refers to either menstrual pads or toilet paper."
