The last week we’ve had from their fans? Can’t say I’ve had any issues with Liverpool fans. I just can’t fathom ever wanting Chelsea to win a trophy.
There really is some dross in the top scorers list. Zaha 8th. Dennis 15th. Only the players scored more than 15. Oh for the days of several players getting close to 30.
"I'm sorry if you've tuned in for Celebrity Pointless, but extra-time has forced a change to our schedule. If it helps, we've got a couple of pointless celebrities in the studio: Alan Shearer and Micah Richards." - Gary Lineker taking no prisoners!
Feel free to define the minimum total for "getting close to 30" (and I will tell you what seasons you are pining for) ...
Mason Mount's record in finals 2019: Lost vs Aston Villa on loan at Derby 2020: Lost vs Arsenal in FA Cup final 2021: Lost vs Leicester in FA Cup final Euro 2020: Lost vs Italy 2022: Lost vs Saltypool in the Season Killer Cup final 2022: Lost vs Saltypool in the FA Cup final What a bottler...
Think you might have missed one or two there. However: I think he's won every final that he's played at other venues, bizarrely. Champions League, World Club Cup, Super Cup, two FA Youth Cups, U19 Euros. He must ****ing hate the place!
The Mail on Sunday (obviously not the most reliable source) has a story that before kick off Liverpool fans were booing Prince William and generally abusing the national anthem. Is there any truth in this and what would be their reasons for this?
please log in to view this image The irony being that most of their fans aren't either, as their absence during that volcanic ash thing demonstrated.
I think it's largely to do with Hillsborough. Pool fans have been booing the Nationsl Anthem for years cos of the government lies and cover-up regarding the truth about what actually happened that day. I agree with them tbh. But for luck, that could have been spurs fans in 1981...the exact same thing happened, the only difference was the gates at the front were open so fans weren't crushed to death The treatment of the fans at Hillsborough is a stain on on the history of the police, much of the media, several governments, the justice system and the football authorities.
My dream scenario is for Arsenal to beat Newcastle, us to beat Norwich, then Arsenal are 2-1 up against Everton when Dele Alli scores a 96th minute equaliser after which he cups his hand to his ear and does a lap of the Emirates. The fuming on here would be enough to solve the energy crisis.
