Should have put somebody else on the bench other than Harper, even a young kid from the reserves or drop one of the 3 forwards into midfield???

I was defended quite nicely and couldn't have put it better myself. I dont think Harper is Citys greatest ever player, but hell yeah Id play him over a striker any day of the week whilst moving back from a 433 to a 442 with 5 minutes to go when 1-0 up
Who? Gavan Holohan is all I can think of and he's never made an appearance professionally, and hasn't shown much promise recently according to the posters who go to reserve games. I think people can cope with you not liking Harper, but since there isn't anyone else we can realistically put on the bench with the injuries we have, I don't think you can really complain.
I see yours and others points of view over bringing on a defensive player which I accept, but please, not HARPER. I'm very happy after today's result and if I've ticked anybody off, my apologies...

evidently nigel pearson though putting harper on as sub was a good decision. but what the hell, if this is what happens when nigel pearson really knows "jack about Hull City" then long may he continue to reign in ignorance.
Never said NP knows Jack, but I dont feel Harper was the right choice, should have been Mcshane on and push Dudgeon into Midfield to tighten things up. UP THE TIGERS !!!
A defence isn't just 4 players playing their position well, they need relationships to succeed as a unit. Breaking up that unit is the last thing you want to do when defending a 1-0 lead. Bringing on Harper was the best option available to Pearson. He's not a player i want playing every week (at all if it can be helped), but it was correct to bring him on in this scenario.
