Party town benidorm for me on 29th may, up or down the Leeds shirt will be on regardless....and the spiked swords will be on the wheels of my mobility scooter
We booked ours a year ago, since then they’ve went and made the Thursday and Friday a bank holiday, I’m just hoping it’s not chaos at the airport
That was the motto of the Ray Parlour, Tony Adams, Paul Merson gunners. “Win or lose we’re on the booze”
Very quiet on here so I'm guessing that's due to most of us expecting the inevitable to be confirmed sooner rather than later. It's really difficult to take that as we reach the 2 winnable games of our run in both Brighton & Brentford are considered unbeatable. Taken at face value we've just lost games we always expected to lose but the performances, injuries and incredibly bad decision making by some players have left us demoralised and in tatters. It will be really tough but can we somehow regroup and put in a performance that at least gives us a chance of survival ? The ER crowd have been so supportive of these players, but it seems to have had no effect whatsoever. The players, Jesse and owners are now just accepting that support as a given and if there's another poor showing tomorrrow maybe it's time to let them know this cannot continue.
Well I predicted back in February when Bielsa was still in charge that we would get 38 points. Whilst other teams have performed better than I expected, meaning that we can still go down even if we get 38 points, the fact that we still have a chance of surpassing that target (or at least until 15:50 tomorrow), still means there is hope, if somewhat slim. From what I can recall I had us drawing with Brighton and beating Brentford, although I had Brentford fighting with Burnley for the last relegation place, as they were in free fall at the time, and the Ericsson effect hadn't kicked in, so I'm not as convinced as I once was that we will get those points
In my opinion Marsch’s selections have been part of the problem. Anyone who likes stats will have seen Joffy goals per minutes on the pitch, assists per…… A mile Head of anyone in the squad even Raphinha, but totally blanked. When your team needs goals to win points you pick Dan James. Sorry but after informing ghe world that he needs to play joffy, but then says he was injured he had a false positive covid test he got a dead leg and when fully fit he never gave him a chance. Miss management. Even last week his preference was Greenwood who was stripped and waiting to come on, until Raphinha was dragged off. I really think he is struggling managing this lot
It would not take much to turn the game our way. A, slip here or a poor pass. A shyte ref who gives us more than them even when clearly not a foul. A player from brighton gets booked and backs off. Every dog has his day and i can't hear the fat lass singing yet. So our coach is from another continent and speaks differently... So what does that matter. The players need to stand up tall and be counted. They alone are on the pitch and it's time for certain players to lead the others. Kalvin needs to be a leader and not just his usual self. He is 26 now and about time he showed his potential. Cooper will do his bit i am sure but will rodrigo. He is key to our link up play and let's hope he can pass tomorrow.
Sack Marsch and tell Cooper or Jackson to pick a team, let the 11 go out there and do there own thing, take on their own individual responsibility, couldn’t do any worse, play on natural instinct of what they think they should do. Let each player volunteer for a position if more than one wants the spot the players vote who should get it. I know it’s never going to happen, just think it would be interesting
Yep and leave orta on 1 m a year plus to **** up another season. Got your priorities all wrong ristac
So does that mean that you are a bit unsteady on your feet, wobbling around a lot, but never falling over ?
That’s the problem mate, they can’t play on natural instinct, with perhaps the exception of Raphinha, the majority are average players that Bielsa drilled into a unit good enough to get promoted. I don’t believe any other coach could have managed that. With that system gone their limitations are there for all to see. My only criticism of Bielsa was to remain too loyal to players not good enough for the premier league. It wasn’t his style of play that got found out, he’s always played the same way, the opposition found out that the quality of our players.
