    If or should I say when we secure survival what do you think we should do:
    A - Aim for a high finish as much as we can
    B - Give the youngsters a chance along with a few first teamers like Ben Arfa (Who needs games when he returns) and see them try and progress.

    By youngsters I mean the likes off Lua Lua, Vuckic, Airey, Ferguson and Ameobi

    A - we could get into Europe depending on who wins the cups.

    I'd say A to start with but if it's clear we're not getting a European place, then play the youngsters.

    It would be silly to stop just because we have survived, and I wouldn't be happy paying to watch reserves. Got to keep going, more money the higher we finish.

    The higher we finish the better players we can attract to the club in the summer. If we got to Europe i would ( in the words of Keegan ) LOVE IT

    b- our team is to thin to go into europe, it would just add extra games and we dont have the team go anywhere imo.

    I agree with this, dont want europe and I think we need a big and fit squad which at the moment we dont have

    The higher we finish the better obviously, but I don't think we really need to be thinking about Europe, it's likely it will only go up to 6th place and I think that's 2 places too far for us.

    Look what happened with Fulham... getting into Europe really hampered their league season, and they had a bigger squad than we do now...

    Looking at our fixtures, there's 2 against the top 4 I don't think we'll get anything from, and hey... it's Newcastle, so I expect an occasional slip up every now and then, for this reason i'd be delighted with top 10. 8th Maximum I think.

    If we push up as high as we can, I think we're more likely to hold onto our key players, and Ashley is less likely to try and sell them if we're getting somewhere with our current team.

    I'm a big fan of playing youngsters but the higher we finish, the more money we get (which is what Ashley wants) and we could have an outside shot of Europe. It's suggested our squad is too thin to compete in the Europa League but let's not forget should it happen, we'll be a club in Europe with about £40m to spend. We could attract some serious quality!
