Time for Sanchez to step up and make a case to stay at the club.
I think he's had a decent season overall and we might spend money better on other positions.

You’re playing Burnley and Norwich, mate. Let’s not act like Romero is gonna be the difference maker in those games. You could field an U23 side and beat them.

Burnley likely to give Sanchez a much tougher game than last night. <whistle>

Don’t like losing north London derbies, especially like that, and I can’t say I’m particularly keen on an ex-Chelsea, current Spurs manager, either.

I actually have a soft spot for AC Milan and he’s also an ex-Inter Milan manager, so you can add that to the list of why I detest the bloke.

Yeah he’s done ok I’d say, scares me to death at times but he’s not a terrible player by any means. I think it was CK that said in this thread that whilst understandably being shaky early on last night he had a solid game but that there’s a clear level between him and Romero and I’d agree with that. I’m more than happy for Sanchez to remain, it’s just whether he would be knowing he won’t be first choice.

Playing a high line with a makeshift defence, including a right-back at left-back.
Telling his players to go out and get physical with Son, particularly Holding.
Failing to react to the red card until it was too late. Arguably should've subbed Holding on a yellow.
Leaving out Lacazette's experience because Nketiah scored a few recently.
Generally weird subs that didn't seem to have any aim, as far as I could see.
Crying like a bitch about correct decisions.
Getting the game postponed because one player heard about covid on the radio.

I can’t stay that I didn’t enjoy seeing us win last night and I thought that there were many elements of our game that were very good. I thought that Sessegnon had probably his best game in a Spurs shirt.

But I wasn’t comfortable even at 3-0 images of the spammers come back were always with me and I think I only really relaxed when only 2 mins added time was shown.

Holding was stupid, but Son’s reaction to the 2nd challenge could on another day have seen him sent off instead and then Holding would have been the hero. The penalty was soft, but equally if anyone can tell me what Cedric was trying achieve other than stopping Son from getting the ball then I am all ears.

I was delighted when they took Martinelli off as he was the one player who looked like he might trouble us and I thought he was more effective than Saka though he was effected by the changes made to accommodate the sending off.

Finally a bit of realism they are still in the box seat 2 wins against teams in the bottom half and they get 4th and let’s not forget when we beat City we were euphoric, a few days later we lost at Burnley and who is at our place on Sunday, and it will just be so like us to drop points again.

I can only assume that he felt it was game over and wanted to save him for the other games.
Made absolutely no sense to me, either.

Hey kiddies, health and safety man here. DO NOT EVER pick up a smoke generating item like this. They will generally get REALLY REALLY HOT and you will get horrendously burned. Seriously folks!

I agree he shouldn't have tried to play such a high line, but not sure what he could do about personnel.
Tavares is awful defensively, so it would have been suicidal to play him at LB. We didn't have loads of options.
Cedric has also played more football than he should have due to injuries to Tomiyasu/Tierney.

Yes, I have no qualms about this. Utterly brainless and it didn't make sense either, considering Holding has a lack of pace. Following Son on the half way line and getting so tight was naivety to the extreme.

You know as well as I do that at 1-0 down and a man sent off with 27 mins on the clock, that the game was over as a contest.
When players are on yellow cards, they have to take responsibility for their actions because they know they're treading a thin line. These are professionals at the highest level. Holding should have known better.
And Ben White wasn't fully fit, hence why he didn't start. No point risking him at that point.

Lacazette has been a disgrace this season and hasn't performed well for ages. He offers very little and gave an interview saying he plans on leaving this Summer. Nketiah might leave too, but at least he's playing like he's motivated, is more of a goal threat, can stretch defences and presses from the front.

I don't think this was the wrong decision.

Spurs have been ahead for 16 matches of the season.
Arsenal have been ahead for 16 matches of the season.
We've been level for 4 matches of the season.

    Game on.

Incidentally, if you'd beaten us in January when the game was originally scheduled and all other results stayed the same you'd have been ahead of us for 21 games of the season and we'd only just have overtaken you into 4th spot after the Liverpool/Leeds matches... so if anything the NLD being postponed has helped you out as otherwise we'd be in great momentum right now and be buzzing by overtaking you.
