Calling someone bald at work now counts as sex harassment. The panel – led by Judge Jonathan Brain – had been tasked with deciding if calling someone ‘bald’ amounted to a simple insult or harassment. In their ruling, they said: ‘In our judgment, there is a connection between the word ”bald” on the one hand and the protected characteristic of sex on the other. ‘[The company’s lawyer] was right to submit that women as well as men may be bald. However, as all three members of the tribunal will vouchsafe, baldness is much more prevalent in men than women. ‘We find it to be inherently related to sex.’ They also drawn parallels to a previous tribunal, where a man was found to have sexually harassed a woman by commenting on the size of her breasts. Just call them a ****, that seems acceptable based on the judge's summing up. Just don't mention the other bit, even though it is demonstrably obvious.
So... You cannot reference someone by their baldness even though they bald. You cannot reference someone by their sex even though they are a sex. You cannot reference someone by their weight even though they are that weight. You cannot reference someone by their physical appearance even though that is how they look. You cannot reference someone by their colour even though they are that colour. You cannot reference someone by their biological equipment (congenital or bolted on or cut off) You cannot reference someone by their mental capability. You cannot reference someone by an identity they have not chosen (see biological equipment & mental capability) These, apparently, are hate crimes. Have I missed anything? For the ****in record, I'm a white male with a full head of hair, the correct weight for my height, I do not care what anyone thinks of me, and I am reasonably capable. This, apparently, makes me a **** and what is more a **** who has to witness the above incessant whining.
