I think it's important to be more worried about this game than I otherwise would be. Therefore I applaud not having Romero as it is having the desired affect.
Ok, my views have totally changed. Absolute panic has set in at the sight of not seeing Romero at the back. ****!
Off to watch the match with the ex- now, which entails me driving past the stadium on the North Circular. COYS.
We are utterly fecked. Now that ridiculous decision to postpone the fixture will really come back to bit us. Could have played them at full strength. They get one player with a runny nose. Now we have to play them with 4 key players out injured.
Pubs rammed, people on shoulders with flares, absolutely buzzing tonight. Then the Romero bomb drops!
Tbh, it is up to the players available to step up...just a shame the goons and the morons did not accept this very simple premise back in January. Find it farcical that if they tried that now they'd have been told to do one but were allowed it cos it was January. Any how, Sanchez has a chance to make himself a valuable member of the squad with a stand out performance tonight. He was an expensive signing and has a lot of experience so should be comfortable to step up. None of that will change the fact he'll screw up for the whole 90 mins though or that we'll die on our feet tonight!
The other bizarre fact is that we're probably missing more players tonight too than in january (three first teamers out). Does skipp really start ahead of Hojberg when fit?
Yeah ... he was a regular before injury. One of those players that aren't really noticed outside the club tbh. Hugely rated by Conte too.
Absolutely bricking it with no Romero. He makes us feel like a different team. Big night for the lads now. COYS!
Skipp is already a superior player despite being 5 years younger. Huge potential and tbh if he hadn't missed the last few months through injury I think we'd have wrapped up a top 4 spot weeks ago.
