Really we have 2 games to win this season now. Saturday and then the CL final. As much as bookies making us strong favourites (if I wasn’t an lfc fan I’d be putting money on Madrid at the odds being given there!) I’d say both are 50-50 so can be done. Just as likely to win 2 as win neither in theory.
On paper we're the better team in both cases. But City, Chelsea and PSG were probably also all the better team and lost to Real. And in three games against Chelsea this season we've only been separated after we won 11-10 on penalties; you don't get much more 50:50 than that.
We've got a great team but we've ridden our luck a lot this year. We need to learn to be as good in the first half of games as we are in the second. It's almost like we don't start trying until the second half... This goes all the way back to those early games too... Like our first against Norwich, etc. Wouldn't be surprised if the FA cup goes like this: We're crap first half... Chelsea unlucky not to be three goals up by first half... Only scoring one by some pure dumb luck on our part. We dominate second half and come back one all... Only to score in extra time after a lot of tired legs and too exhausted to play out next league game. Several key players flopping in extra time needing their legs rubbed.
Fabinho injury: “A good chance” for the Champions League final – Klopp Jurgen Klopp has explained that there’s “a good chance” that Fabinho will be available for the Champions League final later this month. Liverpool’s No. 3 provided an unwanted scare on Tuesday night as he clutched at his hamstring and was forced from the field after just 30 minutes. If we win FA cup, could technically be still alive by final match of the season. May require a 10-0 victory by that point and for City to lose... But could still technically be alive by then.
Salah just needs to not pack two changes of clothes in his overnight bag to become the superstar we know he's capable of being again.
I saw a table showing how close teams had gotten before using the calendar to judge, they had Chelsea on it despite losing in the semi-final of the League Cup!
Fabinho ruled out of game. Not ideal at all. Guess Hendo sit deeper with Keita and thiago either side.
We have needed DM backup since forever. Chelsea's midfield is probably the strong point too. Let's hope Keita is up for it for once.
Dunno, it's a tough call be Keita has been out of form lately might even pick Karius. Of course there is one name we've all forgotten: Spoiler Play Hendo deeper and Elliott on the wing. Or even Milner (for 60 mins)
