Drop him from the side and tell him dribs said he has signed a contract with us so he really ought to respect that.

I don’t know much about Gordon, with Brewster, he made his name at the u-17 World Cup so we could get away with ripping Sheff Utd off.

Absolutely nothing like Kane. Haaland is a number 9. Big, strong athletic, pacey, run in behind.

Kane is much more a drop deep number 10 playmaker. Has no real pace to beat a man.

i agree Haaland & Kane aren't that similar but would argue Kane is a CF who has added the ability to play as a no 10 often in the same game .
Personally think he is under rated by a lot of fans these days .

Agreed. I thought Kane was a bit of a stick the ball in the net but doesn’t offer much else.

However the last 2 years think he really developed his game and his link up and playmaking from deeper has been very good. Put good quick players to run beyond him and perfectly suited.

He could be your Firmino replacement only starting a bit deeper.

Said similar few months ago. Would be very similar type replacement but with added goals. No chance we’d go for him though. Seems klopps gone for different direction with the number 9 now with Jota and mane being very unlike firmino.

you are right but kane first and foremost is a guy who put the ball in the net. thats the comparison. thats haaland. ball in net. not overly impressive otherwise but made a massively hot property via careful positioning over the proceeding years in gimmie leagues.

this is the big time now. he has to turn it on. I don't see a werner here but i don't necessarily see Balon d'or winner either.

It will be interesting to see how Klopp sees the 9 role going forward because I would still argue that prime Bobby is still the best type of players for that role.

Jota is too limited IMO and he needs to work on his hold up play and link up to be considered a regular starter. And whilst Mane has taken to the F9 role pretty well, it's still levels below prime Bobby.

Finding a Bobby replacement is not easy because he is an unusual / unique player - the talk was that Havertz was the number 1 target to replace him before he signed for Chelsea. Joao Felix could be another option.

There are 'rumours' that we're in for Darwin Nunez but he is a more traditional number 9 so it would again move away from the 'Bobby' role and it would require a tweak in system IMO.

This season and last he is on near enough 2 assists for every 3 goals . The aspect of his passing that stands out is the perfect pace of his attacking passes .
Oh and like so many CF's his crossing is really good . I sometimes think they are just pointing out "if you ****ers could cross like me I would get 40 goals per season easily" <laugh>

    on haaland?

I could point to brilliant records for many a lad in germany that didn't translate :)

the important thing is we can both see wiht our own eyes that he can do the business but he still has to settle now the profit has been taken by all and sundry.

Record in the CL would suggest he can do it in big games against top opposition as well.

Quickest and youngest player to get 20 CL goals or something, half of them were with Salzburg as well.

nah Kane - not seen that much of Haaland but from what i've seen he is quite one dimensional but very good at what he does .
I've made my views known on how records in Bundeslegia need to be treated with caution and i was one of the few on here who was sceptical about Werner as nearly every time i had seen him he needed 3 good chances per goal . In fact a number of people have jumped on my Bundeslegia not all that good bandwagon <waves to Diego>

    It is daft.
However, just out of interest, I have a Russian in my extended family and she says she feels colder here than she did at home because of the dampness here. Russian winters are much colder but drier.
