Rejoined JD gym today. Well, extended current membership really.

Looks like I'm staying put here for another couple of months. Will need to get some use out of it though, instead of just sacking it off Monday's all the time.

Went for a run this morning.

6.00am up and out. Could have gone a bit further, probably should have.

Time to start this tedious **** again I think.

I get up at 7 and walk a mile. Can't really go for a run.

Is that where you add stuff to it so that it lasts longer?

Once the endorphins kick in it's all good.

Biking and Surfing are great fun in their own right, not sure I could muster the enthusiasm to go running though.

That'll last me about 6 months... I won't be using milk waste ever again. The problem is it's a little more expensive, but at least it's real food that gives me more than just protein.

I didn't like it at 1st but after a couple of weeks I felt great actually.

    Highly recommended

I'm going to start going camping like... Extreme stuff. I'm cracking on a bit so I'm aging faster than I can get in shape.. Need a new hobby that provides pleasure for my mind.

Genuine question, what's extreme camping? Do you intentionally forget the tent?

Just going off into the wilderness and building something to sleep in. Survival is probably a better description...

What sort of stuff do you mean by extreme ? I do a bit of bike packing in the summer. Usually just overnighters locally. I'll take myself off to some remote wild spot and set up a small bivvy camp for the night. It's great fun. Got a 3 day one planned on Dartmoor this summer with the lads <ok>

That's the sort of thing.. I'd like to go places you could potentially freeze to death

Why didn't you just buy a proper one man tent? A couple of hundred quid well spent.

The risk to thinking you'll build something is that you don't find the materials, and you're then exposed.

    Hypothermia is a proper thing.

That doesn't sound like as much fun tbh. But if you take base layers and make a proper shelter then you should be fine.

How long are you planning on going for ?

Yes sorry I'd work my way up to things.. I have a tent. I'm also disturbingly good at setting fire to things. I used to just set fires to things with my friend in my teens and just walk away. We'd later return to the scene to admire our work.

Cook outside the tent, you'll be right.
