Quick, get on the phone on Monday and see it we can have him loan from Man United.
They buy him, he's not ready for the Premier so we'll give him some match practise.

When Stewart is back, could Pusic be an option up front?

According to all the reports in Austria, he is an offensive-allrounder, and he has a good eye for goal. I think back to the game against Bradford, admittedly a pre-season friendly against L2 opposition, but Pusic's goal in that was very calm, well taken, despite being under some pressure from their defence.

He's tall, has an eye for goal... and I just think, when fit, he could do a job for us, at least through christmas.

It just strikes me, Stewart is obviously going to be first choice for the left wing, and at the moment our strike force at times looks like it's composed entirely of the Borrowers. Yet we will have Pusic, a player who's over 6ft, and has plenty of experience up front, and is not afraid to test the keeper.

Just seems a logical thing to test.

I don't understand all the criticism of Hobbs. His distribution may be awful, however we've got Chester who can move the ball out of defence, which means Hobbs can stick to what he's good at, winning the ball in the air and in the tackle. What people also forget is that he's still fairly young and has time to improve. He's only played 3.5 seasons of regular professional football and also seemed to slowly improve whilst we had him on loan last season. All I ask is that we give him time to develop and I'm sure he'll prove thee doubters wrong.

Oli is not the Defensive Midfield hard man that some on here claim he is.

Never remember him getting his foot in - pretty sure he would class himself as an attacking mid

Your probably right about Oli mate but he is a big unit and for me, far better than Evans & McKenna.

    Spot on!

There's been a lot of BS posted about Oilyvagina for a while.

He is the biggest powder-puff ever, he is OK going forward but nothing more than average at Championship level.

Where on earth anybody got it that he was a midfield hard-man is beyond me.

Disagree. Evans has everything for a modern day midfielder. He just needs games and experience. He can pass, tackle and has an engine too.

No i think we've got 2 good defensively minded midfielders in McKenna & Evans

I know we're used to having a hard man midfielder as we've had Ashbee forever and it was hugely successful, but that makes it easy to think that we need one when in actual fact it is just one way of setting up your team and now we have a different way. We have loads of midfielders and i don't know who you'd drop to make room for an Ashbee style player.

We might not have a hard man but that doesn't necessarily mean we're missing something, it could mean we have a different system for the first time in 10 years. Make your own mind up on whether or not that's a good thing, but we'll all know come May.

We seem to be a bit weak on the manager front, only having one. Could we do with a reserve just in case he gets injured?

Looking at the table its clear what we need. The stats indicate that our defensive record is second to none. At the other end we rate poorly and it does not take a genius to see what we need and the rest of you have been saying it--goals. Whether its because our midfield fails to create the opportunities for the strikers or the strikers miss too many chances I dont know (suspect its a combination of both). Without more goals we wont make one of the top two postions and may well if we are up there fall out of the playoff spots based on goal difference if things continue as they are. Of course its a long way to go yet.

I'm convinced that if he was white, people would just accept he's a fanny.
