My problem with yesterday was the fact all we tried was crossing , normally poorly , into the box despite them having 3 CB's while leaving the striker who is best in the air on the bench until 65th min . If we must cross in those circumstances kit them hard and not very high .

Yeah, need to over lap and turn the big usless cbs and cut it back or drive it across.

The fact is we isolated whoever bothered to stand on the right and they never beat anyone.

The balls in from henderosn and trent were woefully poor and tbh spurs knocked about 5 out for corners under no pressure at all

    Well that's that.

Arsenal hang on for the win. They are now 1 win from the champions league.

You came on here giving it large and got a bit back, that's all. It's footie banter and it's all ok as far as I'm concerned, but I wouldn't take all the comments quite so seriously.
It's quite understandable that you were happy with a draw - it's about the best you can expect against a far superior team.:emoticon-0110-tongu

i think most of us are scratching our heads; by being so negative, especially at 1-1, they’ve pretty much copped out of the top 4 of Arsenal play for a draw at their place….come to think of it, god I hope they play with a ridiculously low block with the midfield line around 3 yards ahead….would be fun to watch the Spurs comments.

Arsenal won't. Arsenal don't have it in them.

Spurs have the better.manager and better front 3 but arsenal have the points.

If that derby becomes a dog fight or a time wasters paradise Arsenal certainly won't be upset.

They're bound to be happy with a draw. After so many years of us being mediocre (ish) I think people forget that these days we make underdogs of every team we play apart from the very few at the top.

The only times we have not played to win was with Hodgson or a few times with rafa to see out cup ties.

Yes, but my point was that until recently other half-decent teams would see us as beatable - whereas nowadays almost everyone thinks themselves lucky not to get a spanking.
I think fans who don't remember the dominance of the 70's and 80's are still fixated in the average years. I hope for the best, not fear the worst all the time.
For Spurs to get a point was a result for them - even though they really needed 3.

They'll probably win them all, but I won't give up hope until it's done and dusted.
And I don't think Klopp will either.

    True.

The old man utd can't lose at old Trafford or Chelsea can't lose at the bridge etc. Jurgen said it himself of making it horrid to play at anfield etc.

None of that changes what you said, they had to win. I think about half their team were celebrating their 10 men back heroics like Davies but the men that count like son and kane were not celebrating it.

This weekend has sorted the title and cl and European spots now.

The GD has gone now, then. How **** were Newcastle? <doh> Absolutely pathetic display of bending over, just like Burnley, Leeds, Watford before them, and quite likely West Ham and Wolves after them. What a ****ing load of rubbish!

Son and Kane are wasted and frustrated in that team, that's why.
When you first made the CL places thread I said Chelsea and Arsenal then. Arsenal have made me sweat a bit but it looks like it was the right prediction in the end.
Spurs haven't really got what it takes yet. There's a reason Spursy is a word.

It's a pity that the lad on loan has injected a real bit of positivity and then the ypark him and son as full backs in a back 7.

I felt they were going to skin us pregame but I am guessing that conte has zero faith in the guys he is having to play like sessengnon and just went negative.

We played poorly v everton bus park but got first goal as they were utterly abject and had nothing then. We played poorly v Newcastle who did likewise but got the goal.

Yesterday we didn't get the first goal. We played really poorly in playing random balls at nobody. Not doing the basics of getting in there and frankly only Diaz played well up front.

So a negative result in the chase was coming I suppose. I was afraid spurs would win as I thought Son would rip us up but seeing him defending on salah was a gift.

If you want a point then YES block space and frustrate lfc but if you need a win it's lunacy. Everton have picked up wins since and good wins... if a bit spawny v chelsea and several saves again today.

My point reminds the same. If you want to score off lfc them puts onto our cbs and force errors. Nobody needs push right out or deploy more than 3 or 4 to block space and that. Just need to deny us total possession as there's no out.

Imo also play narrow as trent will sit inside thinking he is gods gift and kdb when he is clearly not let lfc do it to themselves. But teams put 10.men back and let vvd and konate have it and it becomes a procession. Eventually one goes in.

Even v leicester away when we played poorly we had pen in first 10mins salah missed and if we got that lead leicester we're boned.

Teams need a plan to score or the result is pretty inevitable
