He’s just outqualified Hamilton by 2/10ths. and finished well ahead in the last race. He’ll be feeling pretty happy.
At the moment I think he could be judged to be overpaid. I think Norris is an upcoming star and McLaren see this. The direction of the car probably favours Norris's driving more than Ricciardo's. Ricciardo's early promise in his career seems to be absent, whether he can get it back, we will have to see. Last year it was reportedly the brakes that seemed to give him problems, no idea what it is this year.
I am surprised about the concrete wall in Miami. Sainz raised it as an issue in the drivers briefing but nothing was done. Seems safety is not as important as the FIA would claim.
Yes,bonkers! Which poses the most likely risk of injury.? Pretty obvious. I just wonder if it is about creating jeopardy to increase viewing.
could scratch the wall with a piercing afater his helmet falls off during a big crash. That could cause some nasty shards of concrete that could get in someones eye and make them have to rub it, causing a further 10 car pile-up. They're thinking of every eventuality. That said, I like a wall, I like a fast circuit with places for easy mistakes that get punished, I think we'll see a few of those.
Not looking forward to this. I think it'll be a bit of a train with very little non drs passing. My guess is 4 safety cars.
Yeah, looks pretty rough. Stupid that all that money is spent to make a crap track in a car park when there are some superb facilities over here they could use.
I didn't see all that good a passing sport either and the chicane was unsightly a bit so drs trains could be the thing.
Guess we're going to find out, but just in general I'm sick of putting the backdrop of an event over the actual racing.
There's actually far too many street circuits now. The modern cars now need even more track design than before. A lot of the "new" tracks that were artificially generated are a problem as they are too narrow. Can't wait for wide open spaces of Silverstone and close following cars. I am hoping it's a real classic.
Honestly, all this build up, hype, and hyperbole over Miami is just sickening. It's also a bit disrespectful imo, when you have a purpose built venue in Austin that's not only hosting F1, and they talk like this is F1 breaking in to the states. It's a bloody car park around a vulgar building. Rant over.
Martin Brundle I ****ing love you He’s just interviewed “Patrick Mahomes”- it wasn’t him!! he was about 8ft tall and Patrick’s only small!!
****ing hell Martin beundle is having an absolute mare on the grid walk. He hasn't a clue who is who and is asking random people who they are
