I would probably say that he's exactly a hipster name now. Every time a job becomes available from about midtable PL downwards, I would expect him to be linked to it.
Yep that Walcott transfer baffles me, he was past it before he came back, proves that when given the chance but it's ok because he is a good influence on younger players??
Im assuming (like I assume all clubs do nowadays) that transfers are made by committee so to speak. The director of football, manager, scouts, finance team will all be involved in signings. Who ultimately has the biggest say I don’t know. I’d imagine it isn’t the manager at a lot of clubs
You were done weren’t you? All I said was that our transfers are done and decided by a team of about four people. If you can’t see the chasm of middle ground between me saying it is all his fault and it being nothing to do with him, then I don’t know how to help you.
Yes to a degree, but if Ralph didnt want him, we wouldn’t have signed him. For me, without trying to pin all on Ralph, he could have prevented Theo signing,
I was done with going round in circles with you - i replied to someone else, that ok with you I never said he made the decision all by himself, but youre deluded if you think Ralph could not have prevented signing Theo, he absolutely could have done, but didnt want to say no as we have him. The reason this discussion for me is relevant, is now Ralph is blaming players for not being good enough. Last time I checked, he has been involved, and therefore could have vetoed signing of (and sure ive missed some): Theo ext Shane Long ext Djeneppo AA Diallo Alex Mc ext All of which are pretty **** (still think AA could come good) And yes, he has also been part of accepting players like Salisu, Tino, KWP. But for Ralph to say players aren’t good enough, he is also partly responsible for that, too. This is the bit I dont agree with, he simply isn’t taking responsibility for our results & performances of late, and I think he should.
Oh don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t be displeased to get Brendan. I’m merely trying to find some levity…somewhere…
Your first sentence uses the word 'assuming' so you have undermined your statement from the outset. Nobody signs a player without the consent of the manager FFS. It is really tiresome reading subjective justifications for keeping Ralph. Write you ****ing love him and be done with it.
Have to disagree here. He literally said “our performances are 100% my fault” or words to that effect yest. He certainly is taking responsibility. Criticise his performance if you like, but you can’t say that
He is also previously quoted as saying the team did not perform to his instructions on numerous occasions over the past few weeks and has singled out players too. It's good that he has now admitted he has ****ed up, how ****ing magnanimous is that? Seriously, he has lost the dressing room - only one outcome.
Ah ok i didnt listen to him after the match, was too pissed off. But think I’m also partly correct as her did start blaming the players, he literally said i thought they weren’t good enough or similar, didnt he?
He isn’t really doing that though, is he Os, he was pointing out Ralph has only just taken responsibility, but has been calling out everyone else for ages. Think it is a bit of both, as I didnt listen to y’day comments so didnt know he finally took responsibility, but previously, for ages, he hadn’t.
He is NOW owning up to his mistakes, previously blaming the players. That is my point, sorry it was not made clear for you to comprehend. BTW, any manager who blames his players has lost the dressing room. You wonder why we are so **** and the players do not pick up their performances?
That brings me nicely onto my next snippet. Having just watched Stuey Armstrongs interview, wow what a damning indictment on," consistency in form (of play?) and the games". Mmmmm ?
