    Collins 79th minute Rovers 6 - 0

If Rovers score 1 more and Barrow v Northampton stays the same league 1 awaits

    Anderson for Rovers 7 - 0 85th minute

Fans stop play players taken off the pitch by the Ref

Lets hope their concentration is not broken

Roberts sent off for Northampton 92nd minute Barrow 1 - 3 if we dontconcedewhen theycome back on we are up

Went off i the 85th minute not back on yet hope the ref hasn't abandon the match

I can see the club getting into serious trouble because of the pitch invasion, and if they score because of it then I cant see the team recovering for the playoffs

Game back underway Grant replaces Thomas no idea of what time is to be played

    Scunthorpe getting more possession

    Leon Clarke on for Evans

Andy Mangan talking to 4th official trying to out how much longer there is to play we are playing 90+24

FT Rovers 7 -0 Scunthorpe WE ARE GOING UP

We'll keep your L1 spot warm for you until you bounce back in 12 months time. We won't need it as we will be taking City's championship place when they drop down to join you in L1 <ok><laugh>

I am in a lot of shock with what happened. Northampton was 3-0 up and somehow we did it! Don't seem real <laugh>

Those dicks who went on the pitch are idiots and lucky nothing happened. If Northampton had scored again, the 15 to 20 minute wait to get these twats off the pitch, meant our players would have lost the momentum of just scoring and probably wouldn't have got another goal that would have been needed. Imagine if Northampton scored or Scunny scored. Would have been embarrassing going on the pitch so prematurely like that. So lucky nothing happened though.

This is a fantastic day for the club !
Didn't think we would do it because of the goal difference.
The players have been incredible putting together a superb run that took us up the table.
Apart from the players though the real hero is Joey Barton and I know that will not go down too well with some of the people on here who didn't want him at the club.
He has done a fantastic job this season and even predicted that we would get promotion, and at that time we were bottom of the table !
I know it is a shame he can't be as perfect as his critics but the guy has brought in some talented players and has steered the team to a terrific achievement.
Massive shout to JOEY BARTON !!!

As I have said many times on this forum I am not a JB fan but he said he would get us promoted and despite some major injuries to players he has done just that. Many thanks JB and the playing team and backroom team on your achievement.

Heard some interesting rumours none that can be substantiated but Connor Taylor and Elliot Anderson will be with us next season, would be good to have their quality next season

I still think your Manager is a complete dick but you couldn't write a script for today's result. Welcome back to Div One chaps. I'm pleased to say we will have at least a couple of localish derbies next season now. This season for us the local team was Cheltenham. Still can't quite believe what happened. Anyone have a bet on it?

It’s going to be a fantastic League 1 next season - West Country derbies = Gas, Argyle, FGR, Exeter, Cheltenham, Oxford plus Derby, Sunderland/Wednesday, Bolton, Ipswich etc.

Plenty of great games to look forward to!

You forgot Portsmouth and Ipswich Bluebaldee. Either Sunderland or Sheff Wed could still leave but only one of them. Oxford aren't bad either and we could still have Swindon. Our lot would wonder what hit them with all these short trips away.

What a fantastic day - one that will go down in history for your club
Some big teams lie in wait in League 1 - but those are the sort of teams you want to be playing
    Congratulations

Can only beat what is in front of you :)

Its been funny seeing people on twitter moan about it being fixed or Scunthorpe should not have been allowed to play their kids. But these people saying that are not aware that Scunthorpe have been playing their teenagers for the past 6 weeks. One of the reasons why they got relegated. Not our fault they have issues. I feel sorry for them to be honest.

I may have been on about Cardiff ;)

Northampton are set to lodge an appeal because of Scunthorpe's team selection on Saturday which they say compromised the integrity of the final day of league 2.

Hopefully we won't have the result overturned

They are now awaiting the referees report, We are Bristol Rovers why do I get the feeling we will have to replay this match and not get the required no. of goals to take us up and have to go to the playoffs

There is also an item in Chronicle live to say that Elliot Anderson has joined official BRFC on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee. This report is headed up Newcastle United FC and states the club would like to thank him for his efforts and wish him every success for his future
