It’s typical isn’t it, 2 of his best performances, today and Boro away. He terrorised them all game and then the quality through balls over the top on started once he’d gone off.

Should everything go to plan I can’t wait to see him around better players.

I'm almost certain you'll see him in the prem within 3yrs and hopefully that's with us.

I wouldn’t be surprised sooner. There is an awful lot to like about him, work rate, physicality to start. But he can dribble, win aerials just want to see us create for him abit more to his strengths.

I think Doc's an interesting one to keep an eye on too, has really struggled with us this season, is he expecting to still be with us next year?

I think he’s still got a chance. He’s got a lot of good attributes to he a good midfielder they’re just mainly physical ones. Reminded me a lot of Honeyman 19/20 bit headless. He’s meant to be one of the best trainers at the club just can’t seem to translate it into games. He seems lost in a low block, pressing high and dominating games is what he was best at last season.

He's just not there technically though. He seems like a great kid and a fantastic pro but everyone just has their level.

It's a strange one for me, something just hasn't been right with him all season. I wouldn't be surprised either way in regards to next season as I think he's got more to give but could also see any of the L1 teams serious about going up next season wanting to take him.

Yeah can see that. Think TWT on him in terms of pre season but he won’t be short of offers from a certain type of team. Don’t think he’s a deep midfielder either he’s a box to box and don’t recall a time he’s been used as such this season. He doesn’t have the technicality to be a deep midfielder but because we are a team who likes to press in our own half rather than theirs he’s found out an awful lot.

Shota said in his interview that Malik will stay but I’m not so sure

We'd be daft not to trigger the option, he was worth about £2m at the back end of last season.

He's clearly not worth anything close now, but there's a player in there and he's still got some value.

Spot on, if he’s open give him a full pre season, something he didn’t have this season. If Shota still isn’t getting it from him there’s a few desperate fallen giants who’d at least give a couple hundred grand for him.

Grant will take him, and we know that for certain. I reckon we could get £500k if we're lucky.

It's not massive money but it's still a decent amount to reinvest. It could pay for a Rudoni or somebody like that.

Agreed. Really poor and Allam-esque. I hope Acun rings him up to apologise, or tells Shota to.

Tbf if we signed a RB, a couple of decent midfielders and a ST we'd be a completely different side.

It was interesting listening to Shota's post match presser. He was very realistic knowing that it'll take time and he did really dampen expectations. We know Acun is extremely positive and wants to have a real push next season.

I think we need 10+ signings, not just to improve the XI but because our depth is non existent at this level. We have nothing on the bench to change a game and if we pick up a couple of key injuries, we're completely shafted.

I'm still sticking to the 3 windows until we will really compete. Top half finish next season and the following season after the 3rd window, I think will be the season we really push

I think that's completely logical but Luton & Coventry have both proven you don't need that long. If we can unearth a few more gems like Allahyar then there's no reason we can't have a great season. It's all going to come down to the quality of the recruitment.

Definitely and I'll take a challenge next year. I just think realistically it'll be the season after
