Everton will be out the bottom 3 when they beat Watford on the 11th and they'll probably win 2 maybe or 3 games before arsenal. Leeds and Burnley might not get another point.. 3 is generous
It's difficult to see where burnley or leeds will get more points from. Leeds only winnable looking game is Brighton at home, and Brighton are on good form, not an easy game. I think Burnley may literally stay up on goal difference. Burnley really needed to win today. I think they may beat us though. Our away record is not great, and Burnley will be fighting for their lives.
It's not going to matter what Burnley orch Leeds do because everton will beat Watford and they'll beat Brentford and Palace at Goodison....
It does matter, because only one of them needs to go down. They are fighting for their lives still. It's between Burnley and Leeds now, unless Everton collapse.
I know but it might be their farewell so they'll put on a show, falling nicely for Everton starting with Leicester who have nothing to play for though you could say the same thing about Villa before today's game.
Everton have improved a lot since they defeated nufc... They've got much more about them and they're through what was an horrendous injury crisis.. The results before and after their injury crisis are conclusive. No way they're going down... Beating man united then Chelsea and drawing with Leicester isn't a side going down. It was funny for a while but anyone holding onto that hope is delusional
Think it's just wishful thinking on our behalf, I said at the time when Benitez was still there that they had the best team in the bottom 6 and no way should they even be there.
They were genuinely in serious trouble because they had a run of games including man united Chelsea Leicester Liverpool and Leicester again, but they've taken 7 points from those games so far and it's saved their Premier league status. The fans played their part in the home games and the players have risen to a heroic response unlike the ****e we had when we went down with whimper twice.
Glad I switched to the Chelsea-Wolves game. Great last 15mins with Wolves getting the equaliser with the last kick (header) of the game.
Amazing result as that 7th goal by Elliot Anderson meant they equalled Northamptons goal difference and took the last promotion spot on goals scored.
I read Graham carr saying Anderson is the best young talent he's seen since Peter Beardsley and Paul Gascoigne not so long ago... Thats quite a review... Said he's ready for the premier league now... Let's hope he's right because it's been far too long for Newcastle to produce a top player.. Carrick was the best Geordie there's been for 20 years and he never played a game for us. I'm hoping next season he gets minutes.
