Thanks RoD, I’ve a feeling Burnley will be relegated and Brownhill will be sold, in which case we should get a % of any profit Burnley make,

If they stay up the fee will be higher. If they get relegated they have to pay off a 65 million pound debt to the new owners. So there could be a fire sale meaning he goes for less.

Brownhill -Webster-Kelly all could go to bigger clubs.
    Funds would come in handy.

I agree, NP is definitely reaping the benefitting now from the development that previous regimes invested in AS. That same development is needed for Bell, Conway and some of the other youngsters.

I get that theory, and with a foreign manager it would almost certainly be the case; however, with Eddie Howe in charge he will be prepared to look into the Championship and understand the potential value that a foreign manager would never do.

I don’t think anyone is suggesting he wasn’t excellent at that aspect of his role, he clearly was, it’s the recruiting strategy that he wasn’t so good at, we bought too many and didn’t buy players to fit a plan. One of the reasons LJ was brought here imo was because he was prepared to go along with this strategy, I believe a more experienced manager would have wanted more of a say.

The 2 deals were kept separate, from memory both parties went to great lengths to stress this

Former Bristol City manager a strong candidate to take the vacant role at Hibernian
The former Robins manager has been out of work since January after he was sacked at Sunderland
    https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-manager-hibernian-role-7063924

LJ 's CV.... Oldham, Barnsley, Bristol City, Sunderland........Lee Johnson is under consideration by Hibernian to take the vacant managerial role after applying for the job.
