Is Van Persie the best striker in the EPL?

    When he's on form and injury-free?

    I know it's nice to get excited by the new talent in the EPL, such as Aguero, but I'd comfortably class Van Persie as one of the best strikers in the world. When he's on form he just keeps banging them in, and his overall play is excellent.

    Players like Rooney might just edge him out of that title, but imo he's very close.

    No chance, Van Persie is insane. Always has had an aura around him where you expect brilliance and its a shame hes had so many injuries cause hes up there technically with the best players in the world.

    He's brilliant, its just a shame he doesn't seem able to complete a full season without any serious injuries.

    Van persie is better than Rooney.

    Rooney is good, but he gets so hyped up in the English media it's unbelievable.

    I've been saying it for years. One of the most technically gifted players I've ever seen, best striker in the world in my opinion (I don't really think of Messi as a striker).

    He's the most consistent striker in the league.

    He's got the whole package , he can score from all angles , his set pieces are deadly and he can pick a pass.

    He's excellent.

    He's absolute class. He's got the technique of a Bergkamp but manages to be a consistent goalscorer too. Superb player. Not as good as Shola mind.

    I'm just thinking back to the 09-10 season when Rooney scored 26 goals in 32 apps with 4 assists. It proves that when he's on form, he can rival any other striker in this League.
