Ah ok Quick glance on Indeed suggests it’s a pretty good salary for a Project Manager in the area Not sure about the idea they want to pay less than existing staff for the sake of it. The salary figures suggest it’s a job that’s been sized in line with other Council jobs. Guesswork though. I don’t work for a council
The are plans to develop the area around HRI. I've seen the various proposed plans which start from end of Anlaby road flyover near bus depot up to around that Dulux paint shop. Also goes back as far as where the old helipad was near the walkway Loads of new housing, communal and public gardens, hospital accomodations and car parks. Looks nice but quite generic with bland housing. But it will be an improvement.
Apologies (not sorry) if already mentioned in previous posts but can't be arsed checking through 398 pages.
The light display thingy in Vicky Sq is really good Bugger all to do with Brexit, or even the UK. Well worth a visit It’s on 9pm to 11 starting every half hour (so last one starts at 1030) 2 nights left
It was funded to be a Brexit event, so even though Brexit is not mentioned, it’s an event that would not be happening otherwise, and I hope it’s worth the £3m a night it’s cost to put on in Hull and elsewhere. Because I don’t, and I won’t be attending, and by the looks of photos on media, not many people are. Utter waste of taxpayers money, Bexit standard though.
This is unfair, I went on Sunday night and Queen Victoria Square was crammed. I don’t quite get the idea behind it and think the money could have been used better, but people have turned out for it.
I know lots of people who've been and they all said it was excellent and there seems to have been plenty of people there. I fancied going tonight, but it doesn't look like the missus can be arsed to go.
If that's true (£3m a night) then it's obscene. Of course, we need culture, arts, etc. but there surely can be no justification for that sort of spunking of taxpayers money.
What’s this supposed to prove? This says £120m of money is being spent, but on multiple projects across the country, including the light show which is going to 4 places.
It also has a link that says £10m has been spent on About Us - but that £10m has more involved than just Hull’s light shows.
