No chance we'll get Cisse - they want 18mill for him.

Shaqiri has been strongly linked to Real Madrid, Inter etc. so no chance there.

Why get Cissokho and Pieters? That's just pointless.

I'd be happy with Pieters, Maiga and Ridgewell, and if we get Hoilett and a DM cover then I'll be very pleased.

 

As noted the list was tongue in cheek. That was a wish list if we were a top 4-6 club. Likes of Man U, Man C, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs go for that kind of depth. I'm well aware we are not in a position to compete like that. I've long liked Shaqiri but always say we'd struggle to get him. Personally I think Hoilett would be a struggle.

I don't want Ridgewell. That is just a personal thing as I don't rate him very highly. I'd prefer a younger guy who has the potential to progress. I wouldn't mind some young south american talent too as they bring a brand of football you struggle to get elsewhere. We should have some decent contacts now with Jonas and Colo. Can't imagine the chilly north is very appealing to many from south america! I wouldn't care they just need some Tino esque furry coats!
