That's what the figure was a couple of years back I think before Ashley had to hoy out 10,000 free half season tickets. I would expect 35-40k season tickets, 5k for away fans and 7k for match by match but its guess work on my part.
Thing we need to take into account is they are wanting to increase the capacity. That has to be the Gallowgate and other than a quick safe standing thing that could be done over the summer months its likely going to involve closing large sections of the Gallowgate at some point in the future and those season ticket holders will need to be re-seated elsewhere in the ground whilst the work is carried out. That has got to come into the thinking of number of season tickets they allow. Just read the NUFC Supporter Charter. The way they sell tickets for cup games is. May well be the same method they throw in for Season Tickets but God Kows. https://www.nufc.co.uk/fans/supporter-charter/ "Tickets for cup matches may go on sale closer to the date of the fixture due to the timescales between rounds. Season ticket holders will be given a priority period during which they can purchase their seat and additional tickets, should they be available. Following this there will be a short sale period for members, then general sale subject to availability." Season Ticket holders + any additional seats Members. Genral Sale.
Anything in this ST's being offered to members lark? Can't see it but may be interested if so. The thing is i want two seats together when i go so guessing it's a non starter in any case.
I've been making sure my dad was linked to my account so I can get season tickets for both of us, and they've just reiterated they don't know if there will be a general sale. I am a member now, but from my understanding memberships run out at the end of the season... So by the time the season tickets go on sale after the 19th, wouldn't everyone's memberships have run out?
Edit Just checked, the membership runs out on the 31st of may. So hopefully season tickets will go to members have current season ticket holders.
If I was you, for your own peace of mind I'd ring the club direct rather than reading stuff online. I get the feeling its a fast changing landscape in the box office and things could just drop without any notice as the renewals were. I would guess the majority of people have renewed by now so lines should be quieter.
I've rang the club and all they said is essentially they're waiting to hear and that there may not be a general sale this year. When I go my account, it shows my digital membership and it says it runs out 31/05/2022. The only thing to determine now is if memberships will grant members priority over non-members.
No he doesn't. But I've been buying tickets for him and me, and usually members can purchase two tickets per membership. I'm hoping it works out similarly so I can buy him and me a season ticket. I've seen info on the website about linking family to your account so you can buy for both. I can only assume many people who have already have season tickets have purchased for more than one.
I've been buying tickets for me and him for a while now on my membership. It seems standard that people would buy a ticket for them and a family member rather than making different people all log on at the same time. Otherwise what's the point? Many people will not go if they cannot sit next to at least one family member. They're not going to make everyone go online separately, get a random place in the queue and just hope they can get a seat near a family member. That will mean you'll have a stadium full of people who are separated from their family. Many people will be put off by that and everyone will be sitting their as a loner going without anyone. Common sense would dictate that they allow you to purchase at least one other ticket on your account for a family member, especially if you have an active membership.
I get that. What I was saying is they weren't allowing season ticket holders to buy extra tickets. You were only able to renew existing one.
Oh I see. Well that is good, means there'll be quite a few tickets available then. Guess we'll just have to keep up to date with the website then. Giving what NUFC box office just said to me about potential for no gen sale, it sounds like what you said previously, that members may actually get priority over non members for season tickets. That would be good. I am 95% sure they'll allow me to get two season tickets, if I have my dads account linked. If people aren't going to be able to buy for at least one other family member then it's going to drive a lot of people away.
Nothing specific. If ST holders aren't allowed to buy new seats and only renew their current ones, then consider the fact that theres often tickets in the lower areas for matchdays, so I see no reason why you wont be able to buy them at lower tiers really. We'll just have to wait and see. And if we can't, then I can only assume they're saying a tonne of lower tier tickets for matchdays, so you bet maybe to forget about season tickets altogether and purchase them as a matchday ticket every other week etc.
