please log in to view this image Saturday 7th May 7.45pm Premier League Anfield Doherty, Tanganga and Skipp still out, but no injury updates yet. Stupid kick-off time. Lineups for each side's last league game: Spurs: Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Royal, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Sessegnon; Moura, Kane, Son. Subs: Gollini, Rodon, Sanchez, Craig, White, Winks, Kulusevski, Bergwijn, Scarlett. League form: WWWLDW. Liverpool: Alisson; Gomez, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson; Milner, Henderson, Keita; Diaz, Jota, Mane. Subs: Kelleher, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Tsimikas, Fabinho, Thiago, Jones, Elliott, Salah. League form: WWWDWW. Ref: Michael Oliverpool. VAR: Martin ****ing Atkinson. TV: BT Sport 1. How would you like to line up for this one, not that it's going to matter?
Team is not the issue here, mentality is. Belief in going full Audere est facere and trusting that at worse the loss will be by one goal only ?? Whatever happens, come FT I want the Poool to have sweated blood in order to take whatever points they do.
Michael Oliverpool ffs, but to be fair the chance of getting a completely straight referee at Klanfield is virtually none.
When I looked at our last 10 league games I said this one worried me most. You can definitely get something out of this. I just hope we turn up.
As long as Spurs force them to turn up, no complaints. If I could guarantee the Poool will lose the CL final, I could live with a Spurs loss if it means Pep the messiah loses the PL title (and ends up winning nothing) .
We could play our best game of the season, they could play their worst and we still can't beat their 12th and 13th man. They already have a suspiciously good record in things including not giving penalties away and not getting players sent off. In addition to that, the narrative says that they get to win all their remaining games. > So.... They are better than us so all other things considered they should win. > But all other things are not even so... They should not need the help of the ref to win, but they will have it > But even if the ref "misses" something... They now have help from VAR (Virtual Assistance for Reds) to re-examine things and ensure they go in their favour > But even on top of that... There is incredible pressure to ensure the title race goes to the final day. This can only be ensured if Pool win all their matches. The ref and VAR would be mad to make any decisions that could compromise that. They give a bad decision in Pool's favour.... forgotten the next day. They give a bad decision against Pool... will probably never be forgotten. No ref in their sane mind will do that. > But just in case... The ref is Oliverpool. Nothing would make me more happy than being wrong about this.
Honestly, if we can play like we did against Man City away, there’s no reason why we can’t beat them. The absence of Matt Doherty may poses us with a problem though
We don't know and Liverpool away is not really game to try, would rather have Emerson despite his shortcomings going forward as Robertson will have to be tracked.
Norbert's doing the usual schtick of pretending to be complimentary when actually being a passive aggressive little git, saying what a nice little counter attacking team we've put together It works better if you imagine Norbert's voice sounding like this...
Conte ball requires great wingback play we’re up **** creek with our limited talent on both sides with not enough smart attacking on either flank to keep their fullbacks pegged back which for me is an essential if we are getting any joy. if our front 3 don’t fancy it then it matters not how much Romero will be wanting it from back in defence…his fighting spirit alone will not be enough…everyone must be perfect or we are losing. Kane needs to turn up
