I just fancy us. If I had to choose one to have 2 bites at was always Wednesday. I think we are better in every department than MK & Wycombe. Sheff Wed man for man are the closest 2 us, the fact neither of our squads ‘suit the league’ is gone now and it’s a straight up dust up. I think we have a bit more about us than them, I certainly see us scoring in both legs. It felt like Neil wound the lads down for the Rotherham and Morecambe games for me and the weeks rest we will be primed. We need Pritch in there cos Bannan, even not fully fit, is outstanding for the level, and we need the CB to be focused as ****. Crazy seeing the 4 teams in the playoffs also being the top 4 in the form table, usually one on a rampage and one on a slump. We haven’t ever gone I to the playoffs in form and not deflated, playoffs under Reid we were in insane form but had been kicked in bollocks for automatic. We’ve got this. It’s tight, it’s tough, we gonna take some brain and nerve damage, but we’ve got this. ****ing shame that either of these 2 clubs will remain in the 3rd tier while Wigan, Rotherham and potentially Wycombe or MK go up. 2 great clubs and their fans are decent be a memorable one Friday for sure.
That is immense. If ever fans deserve a performance it is this. Whatever happens in the play offs I really hope this makes the owner push doubly hard next season because a bit of success will pay for itself with us lot.
This tie could be the first play-off fixture to achieve a total attendance over 70 thousand. 17/18 Villa 40,505 Boro 29,233 Total 69,738 18/19 36,326 Leeds 31,723 Derby Total 68,049 18/19 Villa 40,574 WBA 25,702 Total 66,276 97/98 Sunderland 40,092 Sheff Utd 23,800 Total 63,892 04/05 West Ham 33,723 Ipswich 30,010 Total 63,733 03/04 Ipswich 28,435 West Ham 34,002 Total 62,437 06/07 Southampton 30,602 Derby 31,569 Total 62,171 15/16 Brighton 27,272 Wednesday 34,260 Total 61,532
Agree apart from the MK bit mate. I think they are a very good side, with some excellent players, who are capable of doing some very serious damage. They have been a bit patchy recently formwise and losing Eisa is a big blow to them. Players like Twine, Parrot, McCheachran and Darling (would have him here in a shot) are all very good players though. The young keeper looks excellent too.
I see Jack Diamond was back training with the lads today. Will he be available for these games or is he ineligible? Could be a decent option off the bench to stretch there defence seen as we're light up top
Pretty sure he would be eligible to play. Didn't it happen last season with Lincoln play off game as well after his loan at Harrogate finished and he played?
Wouldn't mind him being in the squad tbh. Might not be a popular opinion but I think we've missed Dajakus work rate and closing down ability at times. Diamond is probably the nearest we have to that imo.
Surely he had to be part of our registered squad on 31st Jan? I thought only emergency keepers were allowed (as we know!).
The way this is going we'll have over 41,000 if people are prepared to take single tickets. We can be all proud of that whether we can make it or not, especially after the last few years in this division. I can't wait to get into that ground on Friday.
I think we’ll be going to Wembley . But , it’ll be after a valiant effort at Hillsboro following disappointment on Friday in front of a huge crowd. Come on , this is us - we just don’t do nice and straightforward to ease the fans blood pressure do we . Many thanks once again RTB
Should be an atmosphere to rival the Man.C game at Roker park. Stretching it to be as good, but very nearly.
Wish Vic Halom was playing and he could launch another shot from the beach into the top righthand corner like he did that night....f*cking peach of a shot that one
