I bet there's quite a few of that England squad kicking themselves now for not getting in there first.
I can imagine most of him wanted to give him a smack at fulltime.

They were saying on talkSPORT last week that Hodge pretty much bumped into Marra in the tunnel after the game, couldn't believe that no one had asked him for it. Just said can we swap shirts. Canny investment. I was reading a few year ago that the full England team gave him loads of **** for keeping it at the time. Good it's gave an old pro a nice lumper.

The bloke has played an absolute blinder from day 1 and hearing this about the rest of the team giving him **** has added to that for me.

He has waited until it reached max value, he even lent it to a museum where else could it have been looked after better <laugh>.

To think the other players showed no interest and even gave him **** adds to how forward thinking he was with it!

Apart from Lineker I doubt many of the others have that kind of cash in the bank!

Totally agreed. I just hope he isn't lent on to "donate" some of it to somewhere that already has funding. Aye he loaned it to a museum for 20 odd year. He still to this day says he never seen the hand ball. lol
