There's a lot to be impressed about with him but the way he's come back this year after a couple of years of looking like he'd declined has been incredible. You don't often see a sportsperson getting older and no longer winning much turn it around and roll back the years. I think he's been getting filmed during the tournament for a documentary he's making so I'm looking forward to that.
Canny result for the documentary actually winning the thing, seeing as it'd have been made even if he'd gone out in the first round. Should be a good watch.
I’d had a beer or two and read that last night as Serena!! So glad I didn’t embarrass myself posting “Venus was better” that I thought!!!!
Yvette? Mint!!! She probably thought the fallen Madonna with the big boobies was hidden in his cue case!!!
I still play Pool at County level even though I'm 60. Back in my day when I used to play snooker with my mates, my only claim to fame was two back-to-back breaks of 69....and you can imagine the double entendres I've had ever since then...ha ha ha! I tried a few frames of snooker last year.....absolute embarrassing mess I was. ...Pool it is.
Yeah I was ok back in the day at pool played super league got the trophies etc etc However that was in the eighties I still have a few friends in the Chester Le street area who are still bang into pool And there is still a few good players Again though there best times were in the late 90s and early this century We’ve had some great times around the pool scene
I was in my late 20's back then....I was very shy. But I do remember my mates cheering after every shot over 21 points scored...ha ha ha... And when I repeated the break about an hour later, they were pissing them selves laughing....someone threw a beer mat at me and I missed the yellow to continue the break... Those were the days...
Mine similar story I was 35 Went into the club before night shift this guy says you play snooker I picked a cue of the rack and hit 42 I’ve never done it again
So many times in my life I’ve been on for a 147. Most of the time I miss the first red… biggest break is 58. I reckon at least 45 of them were flukes!!
Pools a piece of piss compared to snooker. Back in my youth I had a talent for it without taking it seriously. Positional play wasnt great but I knew how to pot. Snooker though is a different kettle of fish. I would struggle to hit the white ball in the middle, never mind be able to direct it accurately towards the target. For me it was like hitting a cricket ball with a chopstick. Then add to the equation of being able to accurately hit a ball whilst putting side on? How is that possible without greatly sacrificing precision? A level i could never comprehend. How these snooker players are able to make the balls dance to whichever tune they like? Skills.
