it isn't actually as there is a £16bn write off for their Russian operations which have ceased . They are making a huge operating profit though due to the high demand .

They've made $6.2bn in three months, despite pulling out of the Rosneft deal.

So boris was on GMB this morning.

What kind of **** starts his response with "let me just remind you that I introduced the travel pass" ffs <laugh>

Seriously, that was like something that comedy MP (Alan Bstard) in the New Statesman would say <laugh>

I ****ing detested Thatcher, though Major was a hypocrite, thought Blair was a classless war mongering ****, thought Brown was a prick that ****ed my pension up, thought that Cameron was Clueless and May was useless but **** me, none of them would have tried that as an answer <laugh>

He's a **** of the highest order.

And that response tells you everything you need to know about him, a chancer, who will try and work any type of angle for self promotion.

Said it ages ago on here, that I was astounded when my (and your) people voted him in as London Mayor. I thought London folk were so much more switched on than to elect that ****in self serving shyster.

And here we are a few years later with him as PM.

It's no surprise to me whatsoever that his premiership is turning out to be a total car crash.

Can not ever remember so many **** wits in Government.
We have a version of what America had under Trump. Charlatans and liars lining their own pockets and getting away with it.

I ain't a fan of Starmer by a long shot but for the press to crop a photo of him having lunch with an MP who died in 2019 as evidence that he broke lockdown rules in 2021 is beyond a joke.

Journalists are dying in war zones to bring the truth and these ****ers are in the pockets of dishonest politicians.

Most of the press in this country allowed Blair to lie about weapons of mass destruction in 2001 in order to lead us into immoral and illegal wars that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands.

The press are supposed to hold those in power to account, not to act as their cheerleaders.

This **** show will continue (regardless of who is in power) if politicians are not held accountable by the media.

Trevor Noah at the whitehouse press dinner gave a great bit on the role/responsibility of the press.

unfortunately they are easily swayed by advertising/cash from whichever party they feel will best increase profits/web hits/circulation.

Blair is a prize prick. No better than anyone who has followed him into office, and our current PM a reflection on the lack of interest in politics in the UK

He is an elected product of the celebrity culture .
Act like a bumbling idiot with nationalistic tone and pathetic 3 word slogans and enough of the public fell for it .

Completely agree about Blair. Not just over the war but also his government's attacks on public sector pensions. The ****ers had the nerve to call my pension "gold plated".

I have paid in to it for 30 years and it is predicted to be worth £8-9000 per year when I am 65 yrs old.
How the **** that is gold plated is beyond me.

Pre these attacks I had the right to take my full pension at the age of 60 IF I had 25 yrs service. Now, if I retire at 60 my pension is decimated.

We get lower wages in the public sector and no bonuses and the reward for this was the slightly higher pension scheme.

I have worked since I was 16 and am expected to work for 49 years to get my pension.

The MPs who voted this in get a higher pension than me after serving just 1 term in parliament ffs.

****s

So politicians who don't fit into the narrative of the corporations get hounded out, yet them that do for corporations get away with murder.......I remember corbyn getting it in the neck for being anti semitic when standing on a speaking platform with a holocaust survivor who called out the zionist hold of politics and media like it did during the 30s and 40s naxi Germany

its like that fella who gets people off their speeding tickets / drink driving in that the offence wa clearly committed but a loophole was found in either how it was enforced or an exemption was exploited to the extreme .
The offence was still committed though .

Yeah you said.....Great story and all that
