I am a fan of Clarke tbh and like watching him play, he is the one I would be saddest to see leave amongst our present crop of wide men recruited this season. Our total dependence on Stewart and Broadhead up front is the worry, I was hoping Harris would return to provide a bit of cover, but failing that I would not mind seeing Clarke and Roberts paired up front. Its untried and may be a daydream but if we played it along the ground with our best outfield footballers in support, it could work. Crooks and Achibald proved it.

Watched Clarke on the Tele v Plymouth and thought he had a poor game, he was a completely different proposition on Saturday, held the ball well, beat his man when needed
Could be the standard of the opposition but I liked what I saw of him at Morecambe.
Don't know if his finishing is good enough to replace Broadhead mind, but could be needs must.

Me neither, but I was thinking mainly what if Stewart as well as Broadhead became unavailable. Also I think we are asking too much of Stewart in his first real season, but we cant afford to rest him atm, unless we had an alternative way to play.

He started like a house on fire in that game against Plymouth, then went to pieces, but he has ability in spades.
