Have we not got any in the u23s who could make the step up? Clarkson or the other lad I forget his name now. Tchouameni seems to be a solid rumour. So maybe him and promote one
Liverpool.com saying we could sign the next "Ox"... Slapped forehead at that thinking, "why would we want to". They go on to link (with no backing it up) Mason Mount. Yeah, he'd actually be decent, he'd probably be offended to be only given the potential of Ox... But it's just another random scatter-shot rumour of no substance. Same article also says he could replace Firmino.
I agree but he can play there and is more than used to it. elliot can rotate one of the midfield slots and maybe the odd game upfront for Salah when needed. Gordon too. He's got the pace I think, he quicker than Harvey anyway. Quite happy to not stress about whatever we do this window, looking forward to hopefully getting a nice surprise or two.
U23s ain't fabulous tbh. We promote early and people have to grab the chance Morton has done alright but he will have to transform himself over the summer to grab his chance now. If I were him I'd be ignoring the season now already and be in the gym building power and be aiming at hitting day 1 of the preseason to be absolutely flying. It's like this; there's some you watch for years. Owen was one, Wilson was one and Jones was one but there are some like carragher who surprise. For example coady and wisdom played together and one or other should have made it but wisdom looks a little more like it but it's also intelligence as a player and wisdom simply didn't have it once the power game gave out. The ones I am watching right now a little bit are Quanash - cb Gordon - we all know him Musialowski - again I think all know him I think a lot might say cannonier but I don't think he has the pace and some might say balagizi but I think he might just be another who's luck runs out as the senior game negates the advantages he has Overall for cm Clarkson is too light and morton is alright There's a couple below this age group like Stefan Bajcetic and Clarke that we signed. The thing to note here is a lot of this is academic hunting for talent. Its very hard identify a cm who can play no 6 at this age.
I believe so. Think we agreed in principle back when we missed the deadline day so any day now I'm guessing
In fairness to the pacemaker transportation unit, he has converted a career ender to a big old pay day inbound just by keying a ball about for Brentford.
