You ever checked that Fugees / Nina Simone rework ? I think I put it up on the music thread a while back.
Day off today finally Been a HECTIC few weeks. Out to my favourite pub for lunch. Then round the old dears to watch a film with the fam later. Hoping to squeeze a surf in but not sure I'm gonna catch the tide right today
Well worth a listen, even if you just stick it on in the background on youtooob Nina Simone was an absolute trailblazer too. And such an evocative voice.
The first thing that jumps out at me with that is Marc De Clive Lowe. I'm a massive fan of his. He does a lot of stuff with Bembe Segue, who I'm a little bit in love with Will stick it on now.
Defo give that a listen Luv as it's interspersed with some interviews with Nina Simone. Will compliment your book
Had my first 5 minutes golf lesson today. Was hitting much nicer than i have ever been. Might take up more lessons now. Still beginner though, only using a 7 iron and pitching wedge
Great idea to start lessons while you are still at beginner stage. I had a full weekend course after having played for a few years and got handicap down to 14. Bloody difficult to try and change your swing when you think you were actually doing okay before, but pro pulls your whole swing apart. Golf is a ****ing frustrating game though. When you are a beginner you can forget about all the **** shots and get a thrill out of the good ones you hit. The better you get the more you start focusing on the bad ones and how they ruined what could have been a good score.
