    I'm not sure how anyone can afford to live there on that.
    Mind you, out here in the boondocks property prices are soaring whilst wages are static at best.

    well quite there is a ton of low paid service jobs including all sorts of important functions .

    Collapse of infrastructure, nuclear winter, too many survivors for too little land. Unless you're Mad Max you might as well be dead.

    because the state props up low wages with benefits hence my cynicism with regard to low employment as being in work now still means you have a good chance of being officially poor .

    sorry, some of my text got replaced. The public sector pay you see will be teachers and nurses I’m guessing - the service related jobs will bring averages down.

    no as neither are civil servants officially .
    they included Border Agency Staff , Trainee Lawyers and various admin jobs including in the House of Lords .
