Id be worried if he said we played well before the first goal like a certain somebody would have done. Fans travelling 400 miles deserve to hear criticism like that. He laid it all at his door firstly anyway.

At the end of the game yesterday Arveladze immediately came across to the fans and waved the players across too, to thank the supporters. As he turned around he saw Lewis-Potter stomping off alone towards the tunnel.

I bet that went down like a bucket of cold Georgian sick.

    Try Chester then!
The scouts can come all they want to watch Greaves, go back with gold standard ratings, but ultimately, the club’s looking at him will not be throwing silly money round for a player who’s had a decent season in the Championship.
I don’t see anyone picking him up, if they do it’ll be top end Champs teams & for a lot less than is talked about on a fans forum!
As I’ve said numerous times, forums are about opinions & this is mine, that’s yours & a few others on here, but drop them bias from the fan point of view & watch him defend.
Yes he’s good on the ball, reminds me a bit of Maguire & Chester, when he runs with it, but his defending at corners is grabbing people, not discretely pulling their shirts, but literally grabbing people, how he hasn’t given more penalties away is a mystery to me. His tackling in general is ok, nothing spectacular, nothing too disastrous either.
But when he ****s up, he does it badly, was it West Brom, stupid unnecessary penalty. The tackle on Ince, last week, wild was one word that could be used, could have been red!

I didn't object to trying to play 3 up front as have felt that Allahyah and KLP have looked very isolated from each other and we have been very short of right side attacking threat. So playing Eaves as central striker with the other 2 alongside seemed to me worth trying. But to do it by sacrificing a midfield player rather than reverting to 4-3-3 looked very risky and proved to be a poor call. Smallwood really needs the legs of Slater or Docherty alongside him and Honeyman was forced to play deeper than normal. And I agree with you on the criticism of Moncur - can't see how it helped anyone.
Personally, I have to say that one week I think we are progressing under Shota, the next I'm not sure. And it's been like that for about the last 10 games for me! Summer and the start of next season will tell one way or another I think.

For me we have to give him the summer window and 10/12 games next season before we really judge

Yes, I agree, I admit I go up and down on him but he needs to be given the opportunity to improve the team through the players he brings in and also improving the players he has there already.

I’m glad Shota tried something new because it exposed how woeful this squad is when they don’t have two holding midfielders.

I noticed that as well. It’s not a good look at all and gives fans the impression he’s already out the door when the window opens. I understand being frustrated but when your coach tells you to walk towards your own supporters as a show of appreciation for travelling all that way to watch us lose 5 - 0, you ****ing do it. It’s petulant.

Error of judgement from Shota. Not really sure what he was thinking or at least how he could think that set up could work. But then, even allowing for the set up in front of them, all 4 at the back (Baxter + 3) were really poor - I guess he couldn't have seen that coming.

It was the wrong decision but I’m glad he made it. For one, yesterday was a nothing-game so experimenting with something new is no risk. Secondly, it exposes this squad’s weaknesses better than any training session. Lots of teams can play with only one holding midfielder and a more advanced one; this squad can’t. Smallwood doesn’t have the legs or confidence on the ball to protect the defence or build momentum on his own.

It said a hell of a lot about KLP, his petulance and his ego

He needs a lesson in humility. I don’t like comparing him with Bowen based on ability but one thing that separates Bowen and KLP is attitude.

I would describe myself as a Hull City 'supporter'. I hate the term 'fan'. I also watch football on tv being played by other teams from European cup (it's an age thing) down to the National League (only a couple of times up to now but did enjoy it when I did)

Any idea what your wage bill is for the three strikers who scored?

I do wonder if he’d be able to cope with not being the top dog at somewhere like Brentford, because he’d only just about make their bench atm. His attitude needs to improve. He has ability and talent but football is a team sport. Someone should sit him down and explain to him that Ben Arfa was once considered one of the most promising players in the world at one point, and where his career ended up as a result of his arrogance.

I'll tend to watch anything but our Premier League (unless we're in it)
