It really does feel like the noose is tightening. If we could get a point against Chelsea and Arse I would be amazed but who knows...it could happen.
Their certainly capable of it, six against southampton only the other week, just not today as possibly a thank you to Fwank ffs.
Might get lucky against Chelsea. They have players heading out end of contracts, already in talks with other clubs and Arsenal can be a bit flakey. Trouble is it’s not in our hands anymore. Watford are woeful so expect Everton to win there.
It's not over yet. However, the gamble not to spend in January will be addressed the moment we go down. I said at the time that it was negligent but that I wouldn't say anything unless it failed. A huge gamble by the club which looks like going to the wire.
Raph's value has just shrunk byb£40m if the clause is to be believed. Perhaps KP's value too, as we're in a worse bargaining position. Regardless how much we get, I have no faith in Orta spending it wisely. Boro fans dislike him for what he did there, think he'll have the same legacy here. Time he went, Kinnear too.
They said we had 40 million to spend but that it would impact the summer spend. So we gambled that we had enough to stay up as we were and that we would have a bigger kitty this summer. It was an easy fix. I would have done it for 12 million.
Are we confident JM will be able to get us straight back up if the worst happens? Our problem is, unlike say Norwich who yo-yo because they keep the baulk of their squad together, other clubs are going to cherry pick the likes of KP, Raphinha etc. so we have a much bigger rebuild.
There was money offered for transfers but it meant Radz losing a few more shares, he decided to keep the shares.
Is that true, if it is he should be, and should also be a police matter, could burn a child or anyone.
I'd like to think that the squad would feel like they owed the club after the **** show they have put on this season. Obviously the foreign contingent would leave. Firpo, Llorente, Koch, Rodrigo and Raphinha. There's probably 50-70 million there. I'd like to think the rest would stay. Hopefully Phillips would feel guilty enough to get us back up after his absence has cost us. Same with Bamford. The money brought in from parachute payments and transfer fees should see us comfortable for a couple of years and competing to get out of the Championship again. After that....its financial woes and League 1 again. At least I can get my lad to a game.
