Bit late, but everyone that is English that plays for the top 4-6 teams and Bale. Definitely Bale.

Was Pipe4Life serious in suggesting Silva? <laugh>

I love the amount of vitriol directed at Bareth Garry!

Fair enough though, he's ****e beyond belief and yet at times he's keeping De Jong and Milner on the bench...scary stuff!

I actually don't think Lump of Lard is that bad. He gets a lot of stick but his his goal ratio is insane for a midfielder. Maybe if we hadn't played Stevie G (I ****ing hate that guy) in the England team Lump of Lard would've shined.

Lampard's and Terry's goals were his fault aswell. Plus, when they were comfortablly 5-3 up, he still nearly ****ed up when he had an easy clearance to make

Agree with people about Barry and Mikel. The way Ozil waltzed past Barry in the World Cup for Germany's 4th goal I think showed exactly how slow and useless he is.

In regards to Vidic I think he is genuinely a fantastic defender, and I wouldn't say he was overrated. He would be my first choice at centre back if I had to pick a world XI. (Lucio on his day is still up there for me.)

The whole Pele debate is something that will never be resolved. People from different generations will have different opinions. My grandad says hands down Pele was the greatest player he's ever seen, my Dad say's Maradona is easily the greatest, whereas for myself Zidane is the best I have seen (closely followed by Messi) It's something that is all about personal opinion and taste. Like someone mentioned earlier, some people rate top class defending over the ability of a person to put the ball in the net. I myself prefer creative genius, and the ability to make football look pathetically easy, thats why I prefer ZIzou

You've mentioned two of my favourite players, Ozil and Zidane, to be honest Ozil only came to my attention playing for Germany in the world cup, but I always try to catch the games on tv when he's playing.
Personal opinion plays a big part in what you like in a footballer, I'm always impressed by anyone with speed, Bale, Walcott, N'zogbia, etc., but playing in the right team, bearing in mind everyone brings different skills to a team can make a good player an exceptional player.

The most overrated player in the PL has to be Gareth Barry. he offered nothing when at Villa, he's crap now, and he's crap for England. What do people see in him? Anyone who says Scott Parker is overrated is a fool, the guy is quality. Wish we'd signed him....

    Overrated team

    GK: D. De Gea
RB: G. Johnson CB: R. Ferdinand CB: G. Cahill LB: Cashley Cole
    CDM: G. Barry
CM: M. Carrick CM: L. Modric
    RM/RW: A. Lennon ST: J. Hernandez LM/LW: A. Young
