Well maybe they got them and are now having them cancelled No doubt some will still have them, but fair play to the club for giving it a go, and hopefully it signals that they might instruct stewards to eject particularly overt away fans on the wind up instead of messing about with Blunt fans the other year and making the situation worse.
Good luck to them. If it is true a family member has a box at City then they are as entitled as the next man to use it. It's the gobby 'look how hard I am in the home end' types who are the problem.
I very much doubt he was going in a box. Sounded like he’s bought a normal ticket to me? As you say there is a big difference from an away fan in a box, and someone in the middle of home fans in a stand. We’ve all done it, but if you get chucked out that’s fair enough
Really impressed with the effort they’ve put in. The last lot would have just counted the money and left us looking daft with about 1,000 Forest in our end. The odd few can be dealt with, but a mass infiltration and they could just laugh at us all game. If nothing else it shows we’re taking our image to the rest of football seriously after years of looking like a joke. Serves the daft sods right for bragging about doing something they shouldn’t as well.
Apart from a box at Newcastle, I've never done it. Always had a season pass, and was on away direct. I'd bought a ticket for the 1988 cup game at Old Trafford, and seeing what happened there always got away tickets as early as I could.
Ok Lots of people have done it then. Although tbf going in the away end wasn’t always about there not being tickets left in our end! Anyway my point, if there was one, was that if you do it there’s a risk you get thrown out…and if spotted you should be IMO
I'm confused. My son tried to get a ticket today. The website says you can only get one if you are a member or if you've bought a ticket this season. He rang the ticket office and was told that he couldn't buy a ticket and there were no other options. Great work, City. I'd just about talked him into getting a membership for next season, but now he thinks the club is a ****ing joke. I'm sure he will get over it, but it sounds like ****ing stupidity to me if true. Edit: Find this hard to believe so assume he must have got it wrong so will ring them myself next week and try and get him a ticket.
I'm sure you will get one. They are trying to ensure away supporters don't sit in with home supporters.
That was who told my son there was no other way to get a ticket. He did say she didn't sound like she knew what she was doing though, which isn't my normal experience with them. Will try them again on Tuesday.
She'll have just been doing what she was told to do regarding people who hadn't bought tickets before. If you're a member or have bought any tickets this season you can just buy tickets for your son.
Yeah, will do that when I ring them but are we seriously not selling tickets to anyone else? Even with the issue with Florist fans that seems a bit ridiculous.
I have just tried to get a ticket for our kid and it tells me my credentials are incorrect. I have a membership this season and have bought tickets for season after season from my account. So clicked on the link to reset password even though it is saved on my pc and it isn't 'incorrect' . Web page tells me a reset password link has been sent to registered email address. It hasn't!! Received link. Changed password. Still telling me username or password is incorrect.
The Forrest fans really are trying any means possible, I've had 5 this week ask if I can get their group some
