Unbelievable Jeff! It’s a funny old game. It only takes a second to score. Agueroooooo …..
Since September, the Cumberland Cup has proven to have been a very closely fought contest between Cumbria and Rooch. Since then , there has never been more than 10 points between them , swopping positions and on many weeks they had equal total points. The last 2 months has only seen 4 points difference with each experiencing periods with that advantage.
So at the start of this last day with Cumbrian just ahead by 1, I thought it may be interesting to watch the ‘’ as it stands ‘’ scenario between the two.
    K.O. 1 Cumbria 352 2 Rooch 351
    12:45 1 Cumbria 358 2 Rooch 356
    1:00 1 Rooch 360 2 Cumbria 358
    H.T. 1 Rooch 365 2 Cumbria 361
    1:50 1 Rooch 367 2 Cumbria 363
    2:05 359 each
    2:20 1 Cumbria 364 2 Rooch 360
    F.T. 1 Cumbria 364 2 Rooch 360

Cumbria in front by 4, but it’s not over yet. These were 12:30 ko’s but the guest fixture wasn’t until 3:00.

    3:08. Watford score 1-0 thus cancelling Cumbria’s 0-1 prediction.
4:47 Burnley score, makes no difference to Cumbria as his 0-1 is already gone.
4:50 only 4 mins of the season left and Burnley score again, Sergio Rooch ( prediction 1-2) mops up the guest fixture 5 points and takes the cup by 1, 365-364.
City/Liverpool eat your hearts out. This is where the excitement is .

Brilliant Gelders, what an effort by you, it's never over till that large lady sings and she sang loud and clear in Rooch's front room.
Great fun considering we were never in the hunt to win the whole league.
