So Sunderland didn't 'do a Sunderland' today ...

... still, two more opportunities for people to say that we will <doh>

I've not long woke up, didn't get to sleep off 12 hour nights till well gone 10am this morning and feeling rough. Thought I'd check on here first for the halftime score <doh>
Well the news we won has perked me up at least.:1980_boogie_down:

Thanks for all your efforts every game throughout the season mate.
    Really makes the matchday.
Especially since I live so far away and can't really attend. :emoticon-0148-yes::emoticon-0148-yes::emoticon-0148-yes:

You didn't miss much at our game apart from a great goal from Broadhead and another poor referee.
An eventful day but it all panned out as expected - Rotherham nearly spoiled their own party but we are in the play-offs.
I'm sure there are few on here that said we wouldn't even do that.
Have a few beers mate <cheers>

we started canny then played well in patches so much so you lived on the edge expecting the worst thankfully getting the win was a god send , as you could not be sure at all as they played well in patches and the ref played like a 12 man for them. onwards and upwards

Back from the match, scrappy affair not helped by a completely hope less referee.
Morecambe made it as hard for us as they could with their physicality as we weren't given any protection especially Stewart.
Nice goal to win it, Patterson didn't have a shot to save.
Pleased that Morecambe have stayed up, a big achievement for a club their size, enjoyed chatting to the elderly gent sat next to me in the home end, he was chuffed to bits they stayed up.
Lots of hard work throughout the team got us through, I thought BW shades it for motm ahead of Evans for me.
Nice afternoon out with my family, they have decent fans and never saw any bother so happy days.
I'm away next weekend so the lads will have to manage on their own<laugh>
    Edit
The old guy I was talking to was in full agreement of just how bad the Refs are in this league, he thought the standard was better in L2.
The clown we had today was just so random in his decision making, no consistency whatsoever.

Why not save it for Wembley, that'll be bigger.

Take the three points. We are 14 unbeaten and at least look very tough to beat.

I don’t think anyone has said that We would “do a Sunderland”, just that we have a habit of doing so, which we have (or had).Others were voicing their confidence and we just voiced our caution. I’m still not optimistic. Nor am I pessimistic about winning the play-offs. It just depends on who we have fit to score the goals. Just because we have beaten Wednesday already this season doesn’t mean we are certs to beat them again. They are good enough to get into the play-offs so should be strong opposition. Some people, like yourself Smug, enjoy the optimism right up to the actual game while others, like me, are more cautious. A bit like those who jump straight into the water and those who dip their toes in first, but we all want to get into the water. But I’m probably rambling again. I’m usually wrong anyway.

That is a decent win. The team was below par slightly, although why run yourself ragged if you don't need to when there is a bigger fish to fry next Friday. OaU Hawaaaaay for Friday

    Well done lads.

We looked miles away at one point, and if I'd thought we would need 81 points just to finish 6th I'd have written it off. I wasn't convinced we'd make it as it was, so a bloody good effort.

We're in the lottery and owt can happen. Maybe it's our turn eh?
