Fair enough. If this was in February I'd be livid, but it's a dead rubber, so is next week. Get the players who we are thinking of keeping next season playing to look at them, stick some youth in there to give them an opportunity and let the season peter out into nothingness.
The more the better. Regardless of nothing to play for, it just goes to prove a major rebuild is necessary before next season.
He has, he played with two strikers at the start, he's changed it and now we're playing with one in a 4-2-3-1.
Shota made the mistake of dropping Slater but I don’t think he can be blamed for Baxter and our centre-halves playing like they’re on the piss.
True. But embarrassing today against another team that had nothing to play for. One positive. Good reminder that major changes needed if were serious about challenging next season. 4-5?
Yeah 2 strikers, 3 if you include KLP, but basically it’s 1 striker like always with the other 2 on the wings, or were they at any point close enough to get onto any knockdown balls from the other?
8-10 signings for me that’s just to replace those who’ll leave that aren’t on loan. I expect Eaves, Elder, Cannon, Moncur, T Smith, Hudds, Wilks, Williams and Emmanuel to all go. Then you’ve got to replace Walsh, Forss and Bernard purely for numbers.
Oh if we're serious about challenging we're going to have to cash in on KLP and Greaves and really go for it. I think with 7 or 8 proper quality additions that add to the likes of Honeyman, Allahyar and Slater, we can finish top half/push for playoffs. What we've lacked this season is quality depth off the bench. To go further than that we'll need to be reaching incredibly high.
I meant today's final score 4-5!! Agree, we need the sort of numbers you suggest, and I believe that is what will happen
Poor attitude combined with terrible lack of effort which is inexcusable at professional level but most importantly a lack of respect for the away supporters.
I am pleased I don't have to go to the MKM next Saturday to watch us against Forest playing this kind end of season crap, I am off to a gig st Wembly instead. 5-0
Well, no ideally you'd keep them both but we can't just pull £30m quid out of nowhere and if we're serious about challenging at the top end, which I take to mean the top six, we need to be recruiting far better than most of what we have.
