He's just ****e... His free kicks corners were ****e as usual too... He's a yard off the pace everytime.

I don't see where this idea comes from that he's a great passer of the ball... He gives it away more than anything else.. Unless he passes backwards.

    That said we played Liverpool

They are a well oiled machine. They are class above.

That's the thing we all know this side still has players we'll below what they were up against today, so there's no point going in on them. I think they did reasonably well overall and on another day milner misses that tackle and sees red.. We lost by a small amount

    What? <laugh><yikes>

Thats tickled me, its taken him 6+ years to build the squad slowly to a point where now we have a proper bench.

6 years, and several windows we didn't spend a penny in. I remember cos I was going nuts about the lack of ****ds for klopp.

We aint City or you or the chavs mate we have to be smart with our doe... And we have been.

Oh, I see. So if you have a squad with Salah, Mane, Firmino, Origi, Minimino and Jota the next logical thing to do that's 'smart spending' is £40m on Diaz?

I shudder to think of the amount spent on all of the above, plus Keita, Konate, Thiago and whoever else I've forgotten. That's without going into £75m for VVD or £60m for Alisson. And you begrudge us spending £80m? Just to give us a squad with PL players in it?

It was a good result. On another day that’s 4/5 goals.

Yes your right that game shows how far we and most teams are behind Liverpool and Man City.

3 nee signings of better quality in summer and hopefully we can go for a top half finish and a cup run.

We stayed up that's job done within about 3 years the side will be completely different. Shelvey might even go this summer.

I’m actually still amazed we have survived if I am honest. That’s saved us two years in terms of progress.

End of the day there is still a gulf in class between the two teams, however it's not a big a gulf as it once was. Would have preffered the result today over next weekend as still due them from 96 but hey ho. Far rather it was them n city than Man Utd or Chelsea.

Mate, we missed a decimal point on the fee for Chris Wood and even £2.5m is probably over-paying. This squad has Lascelles, Almiron, Shelvey, Longstaff, Krafth and many more sub-par players. To get the second best point return in the league this calendar year is an incredible achievement. Howe should be lauded for his efforts, claiming he's done "alright" because we finally bought in January is just wrong.

I think Liverpool are the perfect team. They have everything. There isn’t really a weak player in their squad.

Outside of our best 11 which is mid table we have championship players.

I know I am going to get smashed here but I am sick of ASM. He’s like a broken record who just does the same stuff every week.

No argument from me. Main difference in the players on show today is the intelligence the Liverpool lads have compared to the likes of Miggy, ASM and Wood. The 3 of them are thicker than whale spunk.

I said the exact same thing to the missus. It’s frustrating watching them. They don’t read the game very well. They don’t position themselves well.

Liverpool looked like they had an extra man all the game and he’s they are class players but their movement and positioning is impressive.

I know Shelvey is a grim player but he doesn’t read the game at all. He is in the same position and rarely moves all game. He jogs about aimlessly.

If we are going to have Joelinton and Bruno in midfield then we need a enforcer.

Bruno will be that player, he will tuck in behind the midfield and in front of the back 4 but has the quality to burst forward. Alt Joelinton could do it minus the hollywood passes and I believe Willock will be benched for you know who when he gets confirmed.

That’s the thing for me - football intelligence. We’ve got a handful who have it, most don’t. The attackers in particular are all thick as mince:

All three of our front three are. ASM is a one trick pony. Wants to take on the world.

    Miggy is like Forrest Gump.

Wood is ****: end of story: he’s ok if we are winning a game and he can bludgeon things.
