Their games are piss easy but we can only so what we can do. The 2-2 v city was tbh even lucky cos they were better. The 2-2 v chelsea throwing again a big chance away. I point back to 1-1 chelsea v ten men and 2-2 v city having lead twice and think yeah those were at anfield and didn't crack city then. The losses to West sham and leciester were piss poor and opened the gap we have fought to close. After those we were out to secure 4th so I think people should not ever be disappointed to make a title race from there. If we get 94 points there is zero point being negative. Our side has got 94 ****ing points!!!!
They won't. It's away game for them. Simple. They should be playing a slightly tired city side but will fold like a deck chair after 15mins.
Although I bang on about entertainment in football, we've reached the stage where I'll just take the win now as long as we don't make a habit of it. Having said that, I thought we played well enough overall, just a bit profligate in front of goal. We could easily have had 3 or 4, (24 shots,10 on target) and were never overly concerned by their attacks.
This is the think. Can look back at every result and say oh this was silly dropped points etc but that would only be relevant if team would win every game in a season often. Given only 1 clubs gone even unbeaten, really can’t moan. City can do the same thing, silly points dropped here and there. Prob a few games where we got lucky and won games that maybe didn’t deserve as well so swings and roundabouts. Truth is as you say we may end up with 94 points. Should end up with at least 90 points which again would normally be enough to win the title other than last few years where standards have gone so high.
I started off watching a stream that had Jim Beglin burbling on in the background. It crashed, then I turned to the one you're talking about. The commentator was slyly trying to suggest that there was something controversial about Millie's tackle that led to the goal: "Slow it down, watch it from every angle and make up your own mind".
Around the 86minute mark, both commentators starting talking about Liverpool and Man City never dropping points. Clearly a jinx attempt
Oh, and when Schar goes off, he says "perhaps it's a legacy of Milner's tackle" (about an hour earlier, including HT) I suppose commentators are fellow football-lovers so will be prone to the same prejudices as we are, but it is irritating.
Another win without playing our absolute best. So pleased they played on for the non-foul on Schar and what a finish.
Nice to finally see the player klopp was about all those years ago in naby lad. Mans been brilliant this season, fair play
I had talksport on and one of them was saying how it was a foul, he won the ball and then scissor tackled him and it’s a punishable offence.
